Great stay, felt like home from home, would definitely stay again.

Good location, near to the train station and the centre of Harwich. Parking was a bit hit and miss but I know the area and it is quite difficult to park in general. For the first night we had to park a short way away from the property but on the second night we were able to park right outside of the property. The property is over 3 floors with 2 steep sets of stairs and no bathroom on the top floor where the bedrooms are. This was no problem for us but maybe for people with limited mobility. Lots of crockery and pots/pans in the kitchen. Tea, coffee, sugar, condiments provided. The property feels very much like home from home. There is lots of space which feels very welcoming and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again when in the area. Good communication from Georgia the host.

Would be great to have a small bottle of milk in the fridge as we arrived late and had to find somewhere still open to get some milk. Cleaning products in the cupboard were nearly empty and no dishwasher/washing machine detergent. A few little things like replacing loose/worn out taps in the bathroom and areas of paintwork touching up would make the property feel more appealing. However, this would not put us off in the future, but would make the stay feel nicer.

No shampoo in bathroom but we left some for the next visitor. Everything else was fantastic.

Perfect for both a short/long stay. Would stay again

The property was spacious, and had everything we needed. The front room was cosy. The bathroom had both a bath and shower which was nice. The host responded quickly to any questions we had. They also left a welcome drink and mince pies when we arrived. The location was good only 5 mins to the beach and 10 mins to the town centre.

There wasn’t nothing we didn’t like. We had a lovely relaxing time over the Christmas period.

Great location.

The location was great, only a few hundred metres from the town centre. Clean and nicely presented. Nice outdoor space and tea / coffee supplies.

Parking was an issue both days we were there but we managed to get parked quite a way from the house, Not ideal if you are disabled like me!! Beds were noisy and not that comfortable.

Location was perfect. Sitting room comfy. Wifi worked. Lots of hot water for my bath

Garden was not as expected, dustbins in the garden full of old rubbish. Blind broken in kitchen. Dirty kitchen. No hoover or broom to tidy up or cleaning products. Only about a quarter of a toilet roll provided. Quite a few sharp tacks poking through the carpet on the stairs. Uncomfortable mattresses.

Fab, weekend stay with the family and 🐕

Lovely, character property. Kids loved the 3 storeys. Brilliant location, perfect for our weekend exploring the historic sites of Harwich. The Alma pub a couple of streets away is brilliant. We went there 3 times during our stay. Georgia was excellent with her communications.

The shower thermostat was set on 61 degrees and was too hot to use. But once we'd spoken with host and sorted where control panel was, we were able to shower more comfortably. But, it wasn't a big issue.

A gem of a property

The house was beautifully decorated with some lovely period features, extremely clean & very well-appointed. It was also very well positioned, being just yards from the seafront and the rest of historic Harwich. Thanks must go to our host, who was extremely accommodating, even going as far as to ask how we wanted the bedrooms making up!

Nothing, I can't fault the property. The following comments are not criticisms, I am just trying to warn people of what they need to expect: be prepared to park a little way from the property as there is no dedicated parking (although we always found a space within 50 yards or so) and expect the stairs to be steep & narrow (it is a 3 storey Grade II listed building, after all).

This is a beautiful character property in a good location in an interesting part of Harwich.

Good location for what we needed. Parking was on the road but we had no problem finding a space. House was largely well equipped (see below).

There wasn't anything we didn't like about the house itself. It would have helped to have had a tea towel so we could dry up, and only one bath towel each was a bit limiting, especially when I washed my hair.

Our lovely Harwich home

Beautiful Grade II listed 3 story house right near the pier. Gorgeously appointed, extremely clean and comfortable. Georgia was on hand to deal with issues re: check-in due to the booking.com app not working properly on the day. She was readily contactable and promptly shared the info we needed. Lovely courtyard. Fans were provided as we were there during the crazy heatwave!! Our dog was able to stay with us which was just perfect. Street was nice and quiet at night; we were able to have some local family over for a takeaway in the lovely dining room. Even my fussy parents were very pleased with everything 🤗 Very good value for money and we would definitely return!! We have family in Harwich and we have all lost a family member - my Uncle. His favourite thing to do was get a sausage roll from the van on the pier. When we returned to London my Dad said...'does anyone else already feel nostalgic for our lovely Harwich home?' It really meant a lot that it was perfect and we didn't need to worry about anything in this tough time.

Only suggestions I could make would be a) a larger TV in living room with internet/app capabilities so we could log into Netflix. b) instructions on what to do with rubbish etc on checkout - it happened to be bin collection day on the street when we left so I just put it all out the front but I was worried as to whether I'd done the right thing
