Nadland Apartments B7

No breakfast, we were self catering. Location was fine, close to the U2 U bahn line. There was a SPAR grocery store just down the block, Quiet building. Almost any appliance was available to use from dishwasher to ironing board.

I was slightly concerned about security. There was a keypad which gave entry into the suite, but there was no way to turn off the keypad if we were inside. No idea how often the passcode is changed. No deadbolt or security chain on the door. An extra bedsheet or blanket would be good as the comforter on the bed was way too hot to sleep under. A few packets of salt and pepper would be nice. And we were left with only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 6 nights and that was not enough. (we did not want to buy 4 more rolls at the grocery store.

Location is excellent - 5 minutes from U1 and U2 metro

Impeccably clean. Super easy check-in. Seemed brand new and completely calm and silent. Great shower.

There is no direct sunlight, since the only windows face an inner courtyard.

It’s located inside the 2nd district so not too far to walk into the main areas and there are 2 underground stations right next to the apartment. There are also a few supermarkets which was great.

It’s very very basic. I have no idea how it’s a 5 star, it should be a 3 to 3.5 star at best. There is no feel or decor. It’s cold and very dull. There is almost no lighting in the main area at night. It’s very dark. The wall by the bed is peeling really badly. Just a very average apartment. It’s a ground floor unit on the road so it’s very noisy and you can’t keep your windows open.
