Quite comfortable and very pleasant, thank you.

Mama Kai was so well placed. Very close to the centre but relatively quiet. The staff were lovely and the cabana, although quite basic, was great. A small shared kitchen close by was helpful too.

Central and casual

The shared outdoor spaces were really great! Outdoor kitchen and shaded hammock area. Very central location. The room we were in was basic but the price was good value. Near to a busy road but still sheltered from it with a fence and outdoor area. Very casual and laid back.

I'm so happy we stayed at Mana Kai! It exceeded every expectation and was perfect for us! It is a kind of oasis right in San Ignacio. Amazing location. I traveled with my 18 year old daughter and our little cabana was perfect, with good AC. The cabanas mostly have little porches with chairs which was nice for sitting outside. There are also great outdoor common areas. The property has beautiful trees and plantings and we even saw the toucans a couple of times! It was quiet on the property and even though it's right in town, I didn't notice any bothersome nighttime noise. Francisco and Tomas (brothers) are exceptional hosts. Francisco set up the ATM cave tour for us with Emil who said he's been guiding for 27 years and that was awesome! Emil was the perfect guide and got us there early to be ahead of the crowds. Francisco also arranged our transport to Placencia with Shawn (?) who was a great driver. Francisco and Tomas seemed to always be available to make sure we were well taken care of and just to chat if we wanted. We met some neat people there in the central courtyard and even connected enough to drive to Xunantunich (20 min away) with them (though Francisco also told us how to take the bus easily from town). In terms of town, there was a bakery almost right next door and it was open early so we could grab stuff before early departures. The big market is across the street, and tons of restaurants, etc all in easy walking distance. We felt very safe. We never took a taxi once we were at Mana Kai, though buses and taxis were close by. Even walking to Cahal Pech was no problem. We will definitely be back and stay at Mana Kai again. It is a gem! Thank you Francisco and Tomas!

The staff was great/helpful. The location worked out great for being near the bus stop. It was great having the AC/fans available to keep it cool and keep the air moving, as it did get a little musty at night. The set up of the location was nice. Overall good value for the stay!

Excellent location. Close to market, bus depot. We loved hearing the birds in the morning and afternoon also iguana, agouti, heard a toucan, local fruit trees on the property, adequate kitchen facilities, hammocks, general lounge area, we saw RV being hosted, and excellent hosts Francisco and Nellie. You made our stay most enjoyable. Thank Francisco for the lovely tour to pine ridge lodge and big rock waterfalls.

Light sleepers may faintly hear the club on the weekend. Didn’t really bother us.

Perfect location, nice spacious garden and a great atmosphere that fits in San Ignacio perfectly. But, most important, the owners are a wonderful couple, helpful and truly concerned about the satisfaction of their customers. When going to Belize, don't just stay at the coast or the Cayes, make sure you visit San Ignacio, Cayo and stay at Mana Kai!

Great price, nice staff although at first nobody was there at the reception so we had to wait and try to call to numbers but no answer. But once they showed up m, really friendly and nice!

The location was great on the edge of town near the market and a French bakery. The setting was tranquil and beautiful, set among coconut trees. The shared kitchen was good and well equipped. The family that run it were welcoming.

We had to move to a hotel on higher ground because of the threat from Hurricane Lisa.....although we didn't want to leave.

This place exceeded our expectations. It's so nice, big and open, great outdoor sitting areas and the kitchen was well equiped with everything you need to cook (free water as well). 5 minute walk from the bus stop which is nice! The owners are really friendly and answered any questions we had.

nice wooden cabin in a great location close to main bus stop but still away from the buzz of the town and heavy night parties

AC had a terrible sound, however the host was super kind to provide us with an alternative room with a working AC, however we really loved our original cabin room so we decided to stay and have 2 fabs instead. They were super kind and professional to find a solution for the weird noise working AC

A very peaceful place to spend your nights, but still right in the heart of the town. The staff were excellent and helped me out with a number of things whilst I was there.

You can hear a bit too much (such as your neighbour's toilet), but nothing that would stop me staying there again.

Wonderful stay here! The property is gorgeous, with camping and cabanas like ours. Right next to the market and walking distance to all restaurants. Quiet, clean, and beautiful jungle setting. Had AC, hot water, fridge, clean.

Fijne plek in het groen!

Het huisje was basic en oké. Je logeert op een camping die aanvoelt als een mooie grote tuin met fijne hoekjes en zitjes om te relaxen. Er is een kleine keuken die de gasten kunnen gebruiken. De camping ligt op korte loopafstand van het centrum, de markt en de rivier. De gastheer heeft ons fantastisch geholpen bij het organiseren van onze tour.

Mega Aufenthalt in San Ignacio

Die Unterkunft ist super zentral gelegen und trotzdem ein ruhiges Fleckchen. Gastgeber Francisco hat uns bei allem geholfen was wir benötigt haben. Wir haben 2 Touren bei ihm gebucht, beide waren ein Träumchen. :) Macht auf jeden Fall ATM Cave und die Wasserfälle! Die Cabanas waren toll, eben wie zu erwarten auf einem Campingplatz - kein Luxus aber dafür Gemütlichkeit :)

Schlaflose Nächte

Das Beste war der Betreuer des Campingplatzes. Bei jeglicher Art von Problemen wurde umgehend geholfen.

Die nahegelegenen Diskothek mit lauten Bässen bis tief in die Nacht und die unzureichenden Mückengitter an Fenster und Türen Nachts musste durchgehend Ventilator und Klimaanlage laufen.
