150 year old Restored Lincolnville cottage

I needed a place that I could stay and bring my two cats while work was being done on my house in Polk County. This was new for all of us. One of us, Little One, was not a fan of the trip, the house, none of it. Myself and Truffles however, thought it was lovely. It is OLD and makes OLD house noises. It is the perfect size 1 queen bed, bathroom, kitchen, living room, porch, garden area…. and you’re not in a hotel. What’s not to love it was absolutely perfect for what I needed and what I was looking for. Highly recommend I don’t have a banana for size lol It’s secluded with the natural foliage yet walking distance to a lot.

Not one thing. It was really perfect.

Quiet, somewhat secluded. Spacious, had all amenities! Outside shower/optional - was absolutely awesome!!

Another icebag in freezer would have been helpful.

The location was great. The neighborhood is quite. They had fresh citrus and a press. I thought that was a nice touch.

I know it’s an old house. I get that. However it does have a weird smell. There were termites and tons of termite wings all over the house. They got into my suitcases. The floors were very dirty. My feet were black from walking barefoot. I only did that once. The furniture is dirty also. I had to cover the sofa and chair to feel comfortable. Again I know it’s pet friendly and that’s a wonderful thing but that doesn’t mean it has to be dirty. Oh and I found needles hidden between the towels in the bathroom
