WHO THIS HOME IS BEST FOR

Couples on a romantic weekend. The queen bedroom, private patio, and walkable location were designed for two. Arrive Friday evening, walk to dinner on St. George Street, and wake up Saturday with nowhere to be.

First-time visitors. Being eight minutes from the old city walls gives you the full experience — brick streets at night, the Castillo at golden hour, the spontaneity that only real proximity delivers.

Pet owners. Pets are welcome ($50 fee) and the fenced backyard gives your dog room to roam. St. Augustine is dog-friendly — many outdoor dining spots and waterfront paths welcome well-behaved animals. Not suitable for children.

History and architecture lovers. A 400-year-old fort, Spanish colonial streets, and a Gilded Age campus — all within 15 minutes on foot.

Couples during Nights of Lights (November–January). The guesthouse sits inside the glow. Walking the lit streets after dark is something people plan return trips around.

GUEST ACCESS

The entire guesthouse is yours — private entrance via keypad, private patio, shared fenced backyard, and garage bikes at no charge.

Check-in is self-guided: your door code arrives before you do. Tim is highly responsive throughout your stay but the space is built for independent arrival. Entrance is accessed by an exterior staircase above the garage. Bikes are in the garage, free for all guests.

PARKING

One free reserved driveway parking space held for the duration of your stay. In St. Augustine's historic district, private off-street parking is a genuine luxury — paid lots near the core run $15–25 per day and metered spots fill fast on weekends.

Park once. Use the bikes. The entire historic district is within easy cycling distance, and beaches are under 15 minutes by car.

HOUSE RULES

Check-in after 4:00 PM · Check-out before 10:00 AM · Maximum 2 guests
Not suitable for children · Pets welcome with a $50 fee (note at booking)

This is a quiet residential street in the historic district. Please respect the neighborhood after 10 PM. Outdoor spaces are shared — keep evening noise conversational. No smoking anywhere on the property. A smoke alarm is installed and maintained.

If something needs attention, tell Tim before check-out. He responds quickly. Guests who give him the chance to help consistently report better experiences than those who note concerns only after leaving.

I had originally booked this one, but the owner actually offered a different rental due to the cold temperatures at no extra cost to us so that we would have a place with central AC/Heat. I was super pleased with the communication from the host. All questions were quickly answered and concerns addressed! The location was amazing. I will say, it does look like it could be sketchy; however, we quickly realized it was not. There are LOTS of people walking around with their dogs, tons of college kids walking, and a ton of other vacation rentals in the area as well. Parking was conveniently located right at the place we stayed (63 Lemon if you wanna look up that location). I was pleased with the cleanliness, non-stick pan (if you know, you know), charm of the cottage/unit, and the location. We walked everywhere! The only time we didn't walk was to go to the grocery store. Everything was approx. half a mile away. We are big walkers, so this was perfect. Also, I was so happy the owner offered pet friendly rentals. We love travelling with our 2 dogs and were so glad they could accompany us. A fantastic experience overall. I will certainly stay here again if we revisit the area in the future.

We had a great stay. The guesthouse is small but cute, and certainly big enough for my wife and I and our small dog. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean. The location is in a very nice, quiet and safe older neighborhood with old Florida charm, and it was enjoyable walking around looking at all the older houses in the area. It's a short ten minute or so walk to the historic area, and we didn't need to use our car except to go over to the beach. The balcony is nice and one of the reasons we picked this place over others, but unfortunately the weather turned very cold the day we arrived, so we didn't get to use it. We didn't use the bicycles either because of the weather.Overall we were very happy. The pictures accurately reflect the property, which isn't always the case. We would definitely stay there again if it's available the next time we visit St. Augustine.

A perfect location to enjoy St Augustine, this adorable loft-style apartment for two was walking distance to all the Christmas festivities we wanted to see in the “city of lights.” The courtyard and small balcony off the bedroom added an upscale touch to the overall cozy feel of the property. We also loved that it’s pet-friendly and that our host responded quickly whenever we reached out with questions or concerns.
