Jasmine The Shepherd Hut

Karen and Tony were great hosts - always happy to help. They were nearby if we needed anything but we were still tucked away enough to have privacy. I noted in another review that the window in the door didn't have a curtain but the hosts had clearly taken on this feedback as it is now covered. The Shepherd Hut was in a lovely quiet location, not too far from Woodhall Spa or Horncastle. Good facilities for self catering. Comfortable beds and a lovely shower. The little touches like the outdoor seating area and the complementary tea, coffee, biscuits etc were a great bonus. It was a lovely relaxing stay.

The only kitchen item I felt like I missed was a peeler. Everything else was exactly what we needed.

Very quiet location; owners very friendly; Shepherds hut is well equipped, and warm and cozy, though some might find accessing the beds was challenging (one up four steps, the other a crawl from floor level).

Karen and Tony were very attentive hosts, available to answer questions and supply advice or assistance. The little wood stove kept the place really cosy on an otherwise chilly night. I didn't have a car but walked into Woodhall Spa in about 35 minutes. It's a lovely place to walk - flat terrain, so many magnificent oak trees and lots of interesting shops. I'd love to visit again some day.

I liked the curtains on all the windows. The only extra thing I would have liked would be a curtain on the little glass panel in the door for night time.
