Marktplatz-Residenz - 110 m vom Traunsee

Hanna and Matthias' apartment absolutely exceeded expectations! We loved our time in Gmunden and our stay really was the cherry on the cake. The building is in a very central location, so close to the lake and to everything you could possibly need. We stayed in the ground floor apartment which was a relief with big suitcases and it was considerably more spacious then I expected. The apartment is impeccably designed, so stylish, really interesting decor, gorgeous big windows, and such a lovely touch to have all the classic Gmundner Keramik available to use in the kitchen (there is a market on the last Saturday of the month where you can buy secondhand, or the actual shop is nearby too!). The apartment was naturally very warm, I found this almost everywhere we stayed during our Austria trip (great insulation!), but we were also super lucky with the weather at the end of September - warm sunshine and blue skies for our entire stay, so the lake was particularly magical. So many food options available in the area too (highly recommend Tacos El Papi, Madame Kim, and Hacklpizza) so there is something for everyone; we actually had a takeaway most nights so we could enjoy the apartment. Also cannot recommend enough visiting Konditorei Grellinger, we had coffee and cake there everyday of our visit - family run since 1878, incredible cakes, clearly very passionate at what they do and it shows with their popularity; a true gem and you won't regret visiting! All the instructions at the apartment were really clear, we utilised the free parking on Johann-Tagwerker-Straße which was only a 10 min walk from the apartment, but we hardly needed the car the entire time as everything was within walking distance, so it was really convenient. Super easy to communicate with Hanna throughout too, very kind and accommodating. It was such a pleasure to stay here and we will return in a heartbeat - Gmunden was really special and this apartment was a joy to stay in, highly recommend!

Absolutely nothing, it was a perfect stay - only warning to other travellers is that sometimes you might have to deal with rogue mosquitos getting in. They are unfortunately very common in areas with lakes and mountains, so recommend you have some mosquito spray to hand.

Eine sehr außergewöhnliche Wohnung mit super Ausstattung und toller Lage. Alles ist fußläufig erreichbar und sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Wir waren eine größere Gruppe und konnten super zusammen kochen, essen und die Dachterasse genießen.
