Host met us to hand over the keys. He was flexible about arrival time and very helpful explaining the facilities and providing suggestions for restaurants. He was available and close should anything go wrong (but nothing did).
A few extra items in the kitchen would be good, such as bowls for cereal. No wifi. Phone and television reception wasn't great. But we found that phone reception was patchy all over Chartres. Having to go through the bathroom to get to the bedroom was a bit odd.
