the breakfast fruit salad was to die for, mango and dragon fruit...the other salad I had was excellent, fresh , enough avocado etc...menu is really very good. The yoga shala is stunning. Nice that the yoga class included in the morning was taught by local Balinese. I appreciated that and that I could use the shala for my own practice. This place is Russian owned so had an incredible sauna complex for another $50 ( didnt use this but it was highly recommended) These guys are mad about hydrogen water, I appreciated this also. And this means this resort is not adding to the terrible plastic crisis in Bali as tourists can refill their own drink bottles instead of using the plastic ones.
The place is 15-20 mins out of Ubud on the back of a motorbike (longer in a car) so definitely not walkable distance. However there are 3 nice waterfalls within walking distance and a gorgeous stylie cafe with plant based milks and a great menu. I could have found similar for half the price although possibly not with this incredible yoga shala! I would like to see all these resorts setting up more recycling and social enterprises in goodwill for the privilege of living in this what was a beautiful island. Bali has fast become an Island of trash and these resorts and the 7 million tourists who come every year need to be accountable.

The grounds were absolutely stunning — lush, peaceful and beautifully maintained. The saltwater pool was amazing and a really good size for actually swimming, rather than just lounging. The location was fantastic, close to multiple waterfalls, temples and other cultural attractions. Despite being well located, it wasn’t overly busy and we couldn’t really hear traffic, so it still felt peaceful and secluded. Grab and Gojek were also very accessible, making it easy to get around. The room was a good size and felt very private, with its own balcony surrounded by lush gardens. Being able to hear the little river/creek running nearby added beautifully to the peaceful atmosphere. The staff were another highlight — the service was amazing throughout our stay, and everyone was warm, welcoming and attentive.
Construction was still ongoing despite the website indicating it would be finished. It wasn’t overly disruptive, but should have been communicated online. For an already premium-priced stay, I found many of the extras expensive compared with elsewhere. The menu also had surprisingly few vegan options for a health-conscious property in this area. Breakfast was advertised as included, but I was charged and then told only a “simple breakfast” was covered, without any explanation of what that included. My usual order was just chia pudding, juice and herbal tea, so this was confusing. The sauna wasn’t available during my stay. While the website lists public opening days, it wasn’t clear that guests couldn’t access it outside these times. I was also charged a room-service fee after being offered the choice to eat in my room, without the fee being mentioned. Had I known, I would have happily walked the few metres to collect it. Lastly, the hot water and water pressure were extremely poor, with the shower sometimes barely more than a trickle.
