About this cottage rental
Summers on the lake, breathtaking tall trees and fall colors, countless winter activities, and cool spring nights around the fire, this chalet-style cottage offers it all. Located on Secord Lake in beautiful Gladwin County. Secord Lake is approximately 815 sq acres and about 40 feet at its deepest point. Anglers can expect to find a variety of fish including Black Crappie, Bluegill, Channel Catfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Rainbow Trout, Rock Bass, Walleye, and Yellow Perch. Lots of nearby lakes to explore, minutes from state land for hunting, and a variety of local restaurants and bars to try.
The cottage is in the perfect location on the lake, tucked in a slight cove with a sandy beach and unique fire-pit overlooking the water, and ready for relaxing with 6 Adirondack chairs. Wake up to glass-calm waters and take in the view with your morning coffee (coffee pods and tea provided). Be sure to curl up next to the crackling wood fireplace, while cozying up to watch a movie, play games or enjoy the moon glistening over the lake. You'll find a variety of fun board games, a full poker set, activity books, coloring books, stickers, blocks, and puzzles. Also equipped with (3) smart TVs and high-speed internet. The lower level has a large sectional, DVD player, and 55" flatscreen with surround sound so you can have a memorable movie night with the whole family. For those who need to get a little work done we’ve got a space for that too. Equipped with a desk, ergonomic chair, keyboard, and monitor with HDMI cord (second monitor available if requested). Enjoy preparing meals together in the large kitchen, with modern appliances, granite countertops, and a large kitchen island. A quiet, peaceful sleep awaits in the four sleeping areas with nearly all new Casper mattresses, soft linens, and extra blankets. Two full bathrooms, one sits right off the main floor bedroom and another next to the built-in bunk bed on the lower level, creating a private sleeping quarter for kids or adults. The first floor and lower floor walk out directly to the lake so keeping an eye on kids or running back to grab a drink or extra beach towel is no problem at all. Finally, the large deck, equipped with a gas BBQ, dining for 6, and 3 additional lounging chairs is the perfect place to take it all in.
There are trails within walking distance and access to state hunting land and ORV trails just a short drive away. Centrally located between West Branch and Gladwin giving you easy access to lots of restaurants and shopping. This charming cottage is the absolute perfect place to create family memories that will last a lifetime. Please note: the hot tub is not currently functional. Great rental home equipped with everything you may need for a large family vacation. Owners were very responsive to all inquiries and needs. Definitely a 10/10!

This was our 4th time at this place and we already booked for next year which says it all. We love this property and the property’s owners. This vacation spot is close to where we live so we can come home mid week and check our home and water plants, etc. Our 4 year old grandson adores the beach and water as do we. The porch offers a super nice view all day with shade to keep you cool on a super hot day!

Terrific property, well maintained and perfect for large groups of friends and family. Things we enjoyed the most on our trip:Clean! So clean, and I am a person who checks for bed bugs every where i go. Great beach/outdoor space. And lots of provided chairs, toys, water items, and yes even corn hole. (Plus we spent a ton of time on the deck. So so nice. )2 full bathrooms with closets and bins for your stuff. YESSSS.Central air conditioning. Enough said. This is place is worth the price. Thank you for letting us book two years in a row! Maybe we can come back next year!
