Historic apartment with Wooden floors in the Hearth of Old-town Riga

Location is central to train station, bus station, Central Market, and Old Town. Apartment was spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen.

There is a bar (Piga) 2 floors below the apartment with an outside area in the space between buildings. This funnels the noise right to your windows. We only had one night where it remained noisy late into the evening (1:30am!). Other nights it was just a muffled background noise. Not much the host can do about this just be aware, especially if it’s during a warm spell. The shower is small but water pressure is great. You can see the size in the pictures. Bed is on the hard side.

Will be recommending to family and friends. Thank you for a great stay. So good to have a washer/dryer. The toaster was also appreciated but the most important aspects, room size, bed comfort and shower temperature and water pressure were the most important which were perfect. We spent three nights here and we loved it. Location to everything including bus and train. Great soundproofing, no noise at night. Great host who communicated quickly. Easy access, keyed entry from lock box.

There is nothing to fault.

Really cozy and nice apartment, kids said first when we came in what a lovely cottage :) really good location, in the old town, but not in the very noisy street. Short walking distance for example to origo or bus or trainstation. Good connections with public transport. Good kitchen, there was everything we needed. Luckily there was also paper towels, those we really needed when got totally wet (also shoes) when there was heavy rain. Good bathroom and hairdryer, beautiful big windows and suprisingly good soundproof. Light curtains so it will get sunny early but it is easily fixed with sleepmask.

Door was bit tricky, 2/4 of us got it open but it was fine for us because we went everywhere together. We tried to take garbage out but we didn't get that door open at all (maybe because one person trying to open with one hand when there was garbagebag on the other hand). But it wasn't a problem because it was also allowed to leave garbagebags to the apartment. Maybe apartment was bit hot during the night but not too much, it was still possible to sleep. Sofabed was bit hard but ok enough.

If you're going from Sunday to Thursday, don't hesitate. The accommodation itself is awesome. It has a great location to public transport and major tourist attractions; it has all the basic facilities, is spacious and pleasant; the beds and couch were very comfortable, and I give the plus point for a self check-in.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it on the weekend. We were there from Friday to Monday, and the first two nights we didn't get any sleep. There is an outdoor terrace of a restaurant/pub under the windows and they don't worry about the noise at all. There was a loud party on Friday and Saturday until 2:30 a.m. We can hold out quite a lot, but this really couldn't be done (windows were dampening a lot, but it didn't help for drunken "singers"). I understand it's not the fault of the accommodation and the owner, but I just can't give a positive rating.
