Our hosts could not have been more welcoming. Monsieur was a font of very helpful information about Uzes and the region, with excellent English for non French speakers. Madame was extremely solicitous of our needs and was kind enough to search out an excellent local cheese for the already superb breakfast. Their recommendations for local restaurants were also excellent.
It’s an old house, an important element of it’s charm, the stairs could be challenging for older people like our selves

Die Nähe zu Uzes und verschiedenen Sehenswürdigkeiten ist super. Montaren ist ein ruhiger Ort, der sehr viel Charme hat. Das Frühstück war gut und reichlich. Die Unterkunft ein Erlebnis, eine Reise in vergangene Zeiten mit komfortablen, modernen Zimmern.

Un vrai décor de roman : une aile d’un château du XVIIᵉ siècle, joliment restaurée, avec une suite spacieuse mêlant pierres anciennes et confort moderne. Le tout à deux pas d’Uzès, dans un village aussi calme qu’agréable — et avec un parking pratique tout près.
L’envers du décor ? Une atmosphère un peu glaciale dans cette grande bâtisse que nous occupions seuls, accentuée par un manque de lumière naturelle, des petits déjeuners trop formatés pour faire rêver, et un wifi capricieux qui nous a rappelé le bon vieux temps des pigeons voyageurs.
