Perfect stay, perfect host, perfect food

I travelled with my dog and chose this property for this reason. It was an absolute delight and Cyril the owner made our stay memorable for all the right reasons. He has himself 3 dogs and was very competent in introducing mine to his lovely pack. The property itself is charming and comfortable and Cyril cooked dinner for myself and two other guets. We spend a wonderful evening together eating good food and chatting with the dogs walking in and out. This was just a one night pitstop for me and I regret that I did not stay longer. The area is wonderful and before I left I had a very enjoyable walk with the dog. We will be back for sure.

A piece of Paris in the Normandy countryside.

If you're looking for a relaxing, isolated, bucolic stay, La Vove is the right place, lost in the Normandy countryside. We come at La Vove by biclycle casually because in this part of the Veloscenie we didn't find other solutions. Cyril, the owner is the heart of this place, a "parisienne" stolen at your city. It's a pleasure speak with him about... anything!!! A "man of the world". The house is full of objects, paintings, furnishings, books, magazines, ornaments, it seems like a big ancient Paris attic was moved here, in the countryside. You can find this situation both confusion than fascinating. Depend from your eyes and your spirit. This place was very charming for us.

Lovely dogs in the house! If you don't accept a close relationship with dogs is not a good place for you. Cleanign maybe improved. Is it perhaps a desidered patina? Maybe. All well for us. Recommended.

A wonderful stay, a wonderful house and a wonderful host..

Delicious breakfast hand cooked by our host, who could not have been more welcoming and helpful. He met us the night before with a glass of wine in the lovely garden and booked a table at a local restaurant for us which we would never have discovered on our own on a Tuesday night. We cannot recommend this property highly enough - beautiful country setting, fascinating house & most hospitable host!

We felt privileged to stay here - charming host and B&B

We stayed for 3 nights and appreciated everything - the warmth of the welcome, the stunning location, our comfortable room and spacious bathroom, the delicious breakfast with homemade confitures and perfectly cooked eggs, the excellent restaurant recommendations... Above all, though, both Domaine de la Vove and Cyril have a beautiful energy. It was an extraordinary break - we left with lots of happy memories and restored on every level.

We had a lovely stay with Cyril being a fantastic host with great energy. The property is absolutely gorgeous, calm and beautiful with lots of space outside to have a stroll and take breakfast on the patio with his lovely dogs.

Great stay, beautiful location and a very warm welcome

Fantastic location, property and welcome. We had a great time with the owner Cyril and his mum. The place is beautiful and set in a super quite location with a 80km trail at the end of the garden that can take you all the way to Mont Saint-Michel. The house and property are so secluded you feel like you're living in a different world. It was also great that we could bring our dog and she also had a great time exploring the gardens and the other dogs :) Cyril is a master with special jams and we had a fantastic breakfast looking over the garden, fields and hills. Thanks again for the great time :)

Tranquil, relaxing location, excellent host.

La Vove is a beautiful location, very tranquil to smooth any worries away! Cyril is very attentive and makes sure that you have all that you require. The three resident dogs are lovely and enjoy attention from guests. Cyril provided us with a lovely evening meal in response to my request at the time of booking.

The location of this guest house is fantastic and is going to be a beautiful place when complete. Peaceful and beautiful.

The place was still under construction and the host slept on the couch in the living room. It felt a lot more like a homestay than a guest house or hotel. And for that level I think it was too expensive.

Exceptional

Domain de la Vove was part of the old manor house across the road (privately owned). The Domaine backs onto the Voie verte of the Véloscenie, so perfectly located for cyclists as well as drivers. Cyrille is continuing to expand the property for more guests. The buildings are set on a large property of lawns, gardens and courtyard My room was upstairs literally in the roof space of the 18th Century house. It is cozy, with plenty of space upstairs for sleeping , sitting, bathing, or downstairs connecting with others, indoors or outside. The bathroom has been newly renovated. The house is decorated with Cyrille's eclectic collection of books, brocante and pictures. Cyrille is very down to earth, generous and hospitable. He is fluent in English and Spanish as well as French. His dogs will bark with excitement at your arrival but they are very gentle and sweet natured. After my long ride in wet weather Cyrille was helpful for everything I needed. Bikes can be very safely stored undercover on the property.

Nothing I did not like. If you prefer the Hilton, don't wander around rural Normandy. Here you will stay in real homes with real people and if you're up for it, make real friends.

Une pause de calme et de beau

Mon séjour au Domaine de la Vove a été très reposant après une journée à pédaler le long de la véloscénie. Cyril m’a accueillie comme on accueillerait une vieille amie. Je me suis sentie très à l’aise, ce qui est à souligner étant une jeune femme voyageant seule. La demeure est très joliment décorée, et la literie d’une grande qualité. Le dîner était délicieux. Les chiens sont adorables et apportent une touche de vitalité et de douceur à qui souhaite goûter aux plaisirs simples d’une vie au vert. Merci encore, je reviendrai!

Calme et raffinement pour cet hébergement atypique

Cet hébergement gay-friendly constitue une agréable halte tout près du tracé de la Véloscénie. La chambre est magnifique, décorée avec goût, de même que l'ensemble de la maison. Le lit est très confortable : repos assuré dans un silence absolu au milieu de la campagne. Cyril nous a accueilli très chaleureusement dans ce havre de paix, salutaire après une journée de vélo. Il nous a cuisiné un repas du soir copieux et raffiné : nous nous sommes régalées. Le petit déjeuner était tout aussi réussi avec, entre autres, des confitures maison. Une belle rencontre, merci pour ton accueil Cyril !

Incroyable

Expérience extraordinaire! Le domaine est magnifique, l'emplacement idéal. Ce petit séjour s'est transformé en une expérience humaine géniale avec de très belles rencontres et des moments de partage inoubliables. Cyril est incroyable, accueillant, très sympa et véritablement le roi des œufs brouillés 😉. Il a été aux petits soins pour moi et les autres hôtes. Encore merci pour tout Cyril, je ne pouvais pas imaginer meilleurs moments.

Joli endroit en pleine nature, hôte très accueillant

Très bon accueil et échanges très intéressants avec Cyril qui est un hôte bienveillant et de bon conseil. Endroit en pleine nature, au calme, la terrasse offre une très jolie vue sur la campagne environnante. La maison est chaleureuse, on s’y sent chez soi.

Tout aurait été parfait si nous avions pu profiter du calme et de la terrasse toute la soirée. Malheureusement le charme a été rompu lorsque les invités de Cyril sont venus s’y installer pour dîner sans discrétion ni attention aucune pour les hôtes que nous étions. Fini le calme, nous avons passé la soirée dans notre chambre.

Dans un endroit perdu dans la campagne, vous trouverez un havre de paix pour contempler un beau jardin entretenu avec amour par le propriétaire des lieux, un endroit où vous pouvez déguster un délicieux repas concocté toujours par le propriétaire des lieux, homme aux multiples talents et multiples vies, bercé par les histoires et les questions de cet homme hyper actif. Cyril nous reçoit chez lui ... comme si nous étions des amis et c'est très agréable. Le gite est meublé avec beaucoup de goût et est très confortable ... bref une adresse à recommander ++++
