Idyllic

Very welcoming. both Emanuele and Allan couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome and at home. nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful garden every afternoon and Emmanuelle even brought us refreshing homemade cold drinks. We have two dogs which were also very welcome and allowed into all areas. We greatly enjoyed the meal supplied on the first night, the table was beautifully laid and we were lucky to have the company of Emmanuelle and Alain. The food was mainly from the garden, wonderful and fresh. Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had in France and again included many homemade items and very plentiful. We were reluctant to leave and if we ever return to France our stay there will be much longer. I forgot to say how clean our accommodation was, everything was new and everything worked, far superior to most other accommodation.

what a find!!!

A little gem - Alan & Emmanuelle are exceptional hosts. From arriving and being greeted by the horse to dining with our hosts this was a very special place. The location is very convenient for the motorway yet so very quiet and peaceful. The rooms very clean and comfortable. breakfast just delicious - rhubarb, strawberry and walnut muffin - who knew!! Highly recommend.

Charming and peaceful

This is a lovely place to stay with a pond in the garden and various animals including horses, dogs, cats and chickens. The accommodation is separate from the main farmhouse where breakfast is provided including boiled eggs with shell colours varying according to the hen that had laid it. Homemade rhubarb muffins were also provided as part of the continental breakfast of cereals, bread, cheese and ham. Bed was very comfy and location very quiet even though just off the motorway. We stayed before and after visiting Giverny about half an hour drive away. Recommended.

Sat nav didn't take us to the property first time - we needed two attempts to find it. Still, we will know for next time (leave A13 at junction 17, take the D316 heading south, at the small roundabout take the 2nd exit signposted Evreux, then very shortly after this Le Clos du Buisson is at the end of a no through road on the right hand side). Don't turn right at the roundabout to St Julien de la Liegue.

Superb

A delightful property in a lovely setting and yet only a very short drive from the motorway. We were warmly welcomed by our host, Emmanuelle, and given a very helpful tour of the property which was beautifully designed and furnished. The bed was very comfortable and everything was immaculately clean. The shared kitchen facility was immediately below the property and was very useful, including a full sized fridge. The morning breakfast was excellent, with a large proportion of the offering produced on-site or locally. The freshly cooked boiled eggs from the lovely hens in the garden was a particular treat. Emmanuelle spoke perfect English which was very handy. We loved our stay here and hope to return again in the future.

Loved this place

The chambre d'hote was in a perfect location for our stopover and easy to find. The whole site was well maintained and in a good order. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hosts, Emanuel and Alain could not have been kinder. They provided for us a 4 course evening meal which was superb and their company made it even more enjoyable I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough and we will certainly be staying there again next year. PS I hope your leg us on the mend. X

On the whole, we are very satisfied, excellent breakfast, homemade jams of all kinds of citrus fruit

What we liked, it is this place very neat, well maintained shaded, bucolic, small basin, strewn with these plants of water lilies, very flowered, with animals such horses, donkey dogs cats, hens... Very calm place, and it seems almost withdrawn from any civilization.

To reach the part of the sanitary and bathroom, rather steep and narrow steps. Same for the attic room, very nice and welcoming. But the whole of this little sweet home, is very nice and welcoming. But there is not much alternative given the lack of space needed ... but I speak for those who have problems with knee joints.

Would highly recommend.

A picturesque stay in the countryside with the friendliest and most welcoming host. Not only was the room beautifully decorated, but also extremely comfortable and we both slept very well. Breakfast was delicious! The homemade jams were amazing! The animals here are beautiful (especially the dogs) ☺️ Would highly recommend.

Comfortable and charming stay in a glorious hidden garden

A peaceful overnight rest stop on our way from Paris to Honfleur. Well appointed room, very comfortable bed and modern bathroom with great shower/hot water. Easy to communicate with Emmanuelle, who speaks English, unfortunately she was away for breakfast on Friday but her husband did a good job in her absence. We were made to feel very welcome. Local restaurant recommended provided an enjoyable country dinner.

Our GPS struggled with the location, try using Saint-Aubin-sur-Gaillon as the location. That is a Booking.com issue as Emmanuelle has tried to update the details with them, without success.

Coin calme et propice au repos, le clos du Buisson est très bien entretenu par la propriétaire les espaces sont magnifiquement fleuris et agréables à regarder. La chambre était très propre, moderne et fonctionnelle. Un vrai plaisir pour un week-end en amoureux ou en famille idéal pour ce ressourcer, nous recommandons vivement ce havre de paix.

Bellissimo edificio antico ben ristrutturato, immerso nel verde con un giardino romantico, un laghetto con ninfee, un adorabile cane, dei simpatici gatti e altri animali. Colazione abbondante servita con cura dalla Signora Emanuelle con prodotti regionali, dolcetti e marmellate preparati da lei. Proprietaria gentile e pronta a soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta.
