Welcome to your perfect Lewes getaway—closely situated to Canal Front Park and the Lewes/Rehoboth canal, where pleasure boats, fishing vessels, and water taxis drift by throughout the day, as well as the iconic Overfalls Lightship museum. From the front porch Adirondack chairs, or any room facing the water, you can sip your morning coffee watching the harbor come alive or unwind with a glass of wine as boats return from sea. If you're lucky, you’ll even spot the resident ospreys soaring and tending their nest above the water’s edge.

Our family has loved downtown Lewes for decades, but when we bought and renovated our dream home six years ago, it felt like an HGTV moment—especially when we knocked down a wall and uncovered the original 1800s fireplace (yes, it was really there!). Craftsman Tools even filmed a commercial during the renovation.
Built in 1849 (and likely earlier), the home was once rumored to be the Stage Coach Inn, with the original carriage house still on the property. Today, that carriage house provides convenient storage for your kayaks, bikes, and beach gear—and the driveway is large enough for your boat.

I hesitate to give this wonderful property such a glowing review because I do not want the word out on its amazingness!This is one of the cleanest, most organized, well-appointed, and interesting homes we have ever rented. Each bedroom smelled like clean linens, and it felt so good to slide into lovely and crisp sheets that first night after a long day of travel.The house is even more beautiful than the photos suggest! The furniture, floors, and kitchenware are all pristine. The towels, linens, and blankets are new and beautiful.We loved having access to two kitchens, for we stocked them both with waters and fruit. The giant washer and dryer made doing laundry a pleasure.The owners could not be kinder. They responded immediately and thoroughly.And we spent so much time on the front porch, talking to passers by, watching the little league teams play ball, and enjoying the early summer sky.This house is gorgeous!We hope to return next year!

I hesitate to give this amazing property a wonderful review because I really don't want the word out! This is probably one of the best, most beautiful, clean, and well stocked homes we have ever rented. The owners were beyond helpful, kind, and responsive. The two kitchens provided us with ample space to spread out our beach things as well as stock the refrigerators with water and fruit.Every bedroom was impeccably clean, organized, and up to date. I loved climbing into a crisp and cleanly laundered bed that first night after traveling.The couches, chairs, and rugs were perfect! The loft is a kids' dream: cozy and private yet open to the activities downstairs.We used the front porch often to have our coffee and chat with passersby. We love this house so so much!Thank you for a great stay!

A home that feels like home, with lots of natural light and comfy beds and seating! This super-clean, spacious and beautifully appointed gem, situated in the heart of Lewes, was perfect for our multigenerational family and friends.
The central location is an easy walk to the canal, ballfields and sport courts, restaurants and shops. There were great indoor and outdoor spaces for groups, as well as private spaces for quieter moments. The mini-office with networked printer allowed those of us who needed to work the opportunity to do so without impacting the beach vibe.
The array of sports equipment, beach items, bikes, and amenities were appreciated by all. Plenty of cookware, utensils, ceramics and glassware, etc., with large fridges in each kitchen.
We so appreciated the delicious welcome bottles from our hosts. Thank you Brittany and Sean for sharing your lovely home with us!
