Le Malpas Woodpecker

We arrived on a Sunday which meant that all shops where closed so we could not pickup food. We were delighted to be told by the host that we do not need to worry a Starter Pack will be waiting for us. It was waiting giving us a selection of food, this was a welcome surprise and a great start to our holiday. Supermarket is local and easy to get to by car.The accommodation we thought was of exceptional standard, our hosts had equipped the apartment very well, we wanted for nothing. It was very comfortable, very cool in the heat of the day, and night. The whole site was so well looked after which was evident on our walk about which the hosts encouraged, and we really liked. We like nature, our hosts do too telling us what animals visit. The pool was fantastic, looked after very well, clean and very inviting, we used it everyday and a very welcome addition to our holiday. Very comfortable seating around the pool creating a very relaxed atmosphere. What made it a very special holiday was not just the exceptional accommodation, but the friendly, attentive hosts who go out of their way to ensure guests were looked after to a high level. For us, having great accommodation is important, but what makes it special are the hosts you are staying with. When you stay at Le Malpas Kingfisher you get great accommodation and hosts, what more can you ask for!!! and Charlie the dog who is very gentle, friendly & fun. Hosts will ask you if you are ok with dogs before introducing Charlie or not.

Es ist ein kleines Paradies. Der Garten ist wunderschön gepflegt und liegt mitten im Grünen. Am traumhaft schönen Pool kann man in Ruhe entspannen. Hier gibt es sogar Eisvögel und Spechte. Auch die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Sogar der Kühlschrank war schon bestens bestückt mit Wein, Salzbutter, Bier, Frischkäse usw. Es gibt auch eine Boule-Bahn, die wir natürlich genutzt haben. Ein sehr guter Bäcker ist 2,5 km entfernt. In 10 Minuten kann man zu einem Campingplatz laufen, der einen großen und schönen Gastro-Garten hat. Aber das beste sind natürlich Tracy und David, die Eigentümer, die sich sehr liebevoll um alles kümmern und uns sehr wertvolle Tipps für Ausflüge und Fahrradtouren gegeben haben. Danke für die schöne Zeit bei euch, wir wollen gerne wieder kommen.

Very good standard of accommodation. Well kitted out with everything you may need for an extended stay. Nice grounds and pool area which is only shared with one other unit.

Whilst the local campsite offers some useful amenities and is only a short walk away, the location does mean frequent use of a vehicle.
