This cozy 1-bedroom holiday home in Berbiguières is perfect for couples or two friends seeking a peaceful retreat in the heart of Dordogne. With a warm fireplace, open kitchen, and a private garden complete with sun loungers, barbecue, and outdoor furniture, it offers a relaxing stay surrounded by nature. A high chair and children’s bed are available, and up to 2 pets are welcome. Check-in is between 4–6 PM, and check-out between 8–10 AM.
Berbiguières is a central base for exploring the Valley of the Castles, just 15 minutes away by car. Visit The Marqueyssac Gardens, the medieval charm of Saint-Cyprien (8 km), Belvès (12 km), and the cloister of Cadouin (18 km). For family fun, head to Aquarium Périgord Noir. Canoeing on the Dordogne is available at Siorac-en-Périgord (8 km), and hiking trails begin right from the village.
Dine nearby at La Guinguette du Garrit or enjoy gourmet fare at Restaurant Les Plaisirs Gourmands. For drinks, unwind at the charming (Saint Lulu’s) bar in Vézac. This cottage offers a romantic and nature-filled escape in one of France’s most picturesque regions.

De stilte de prachtige nattuur Het huisje en de vrijheid En de dageljkse pain decampagne van bij het plaatselijke bakkertje in in st cyprien En mooie wandelingen in de pittoreske dorpjes Aaah het is zalig vertoeven hier Daarom komen we steeds terug Het is de de tweede maal dat we hier zijn

Met de goede navigatie (instellingen) is het huisje prima te vinden, de omgeving en privacy zijn fantastisch (de herten liepen door de tuin). Op het eerste gezicht is het huisje erg charmant maar de hygiëne en het comfort zijn ver te zoeken, er is in de nabije omgeving werkelijk niets te vinden op het gebied van winkels of horeca, alles moet met de auto gedaan worden, voor wie een keer helemaal terug naar de natuur wilt en in de avond met boomstammen wil sjouwen om de houtkachel aan de gang te houden is dit helemaal geweldig, maar voor mensen met een voorkeur voor luxe en comfort is het niet aan te raden, verder is de eigenaar erg aardig en behulpzaam maar spreekt geen woord Engels, dus enige kennis van de Franse taal is wel erg handig.

Wij werden heel hartelijk ontvangen door de heer Grenier, de eigenaar. Hij spreekt een paar woorden Engels, maar met een beetje goede wil kan je elkaar best volgen. Het huisje is heel oud een boerenhuisje uit 1300 en 30 jaar geleden omgebouwd tot vakantie woning. Alles is aanwezig. De bank zit goed en het bed is prima. Het is eenvoudig. De ligging is grandioos!!! Wij hebben genoten van de rust en de ruimte om het huisje.
