LE YAMA

The apartment is super cute and clean with lots of great amenities (washer, laundry drying rack and a nicely equipped kitchen) and the beds were super comfy.. The location was on the edge of the pedestrian area, and just above a cute little grocery and close to lots of shops and restaurants. It was maybe a block from the train station and a short walk to the Augille de Midi lift to Mont Blanc, so it was very convenient to all Chamonix has to offer. Plus there was a cute little park behind it giving it a bit of privacy. There was a huge trail running event going on that made the atmosphere in Chamonix very celebratory and we enjoyed watching some of the finishers cross the line.

While the host can't control the weather, there was a heat wave in Europe during out stay and without air conditioning, the place got quite warm during the day and took a while in the evening to cool off. There was an automatic screen on the balcony that would have helped with the sun, but the remote was no where in site and we could not get it to work. The place backs up to a small park and because of the huge trail running event happening, there were bands playing into the night and since we had to keep the doors and windows open to be comfortable it got quite loud in to the wee hours of the morning. All this said, I gave the place a good rating because most places in Chamonix like this one don't have A/C and had the temperature been typical of that time period, we probably would have been able to close up the apartment at night avoiding the noise from the event going on. The host should consider getting some fans for when summer weather is unusually warm since global warming is not just a trend.

Great location. Well equipped kitchen for self catering. Nice and clean. Great water pressure. Beds comfortable. Great manual explaining everything about the house.

The bedding and pillows felt very cheap. Would have been nice to have something a bit more comfortable.

Apartament jest wspaniały. Rewelacyjnie urządzone wnętrza i bardzo dobrze wyposażone. Są nie tylko przybory kuchenne, ale także gry planszowe, książki czy karty. Z balkonu (duży) rozciąga się piękny widok na Mont Blanc. Garaż na auto na dole (widać z okien), dwie łazienki, pralka, zmywarka. Czysto. Wspaniale. Jeden z najlepszych apartamentów w jakich byliśmy.
