Five Star Westlake 1st-4th Floors Hotel & Serviced Apartment

It was such a wonderful and fulfilling stay that I’m not quite sure where to begin. Although we arrived late at night on the first day, we were able to check in without any trouble thanks to the detailed instructions we’d been given. The next morning, when we went to check in, a male member of staff told us, ‘You can do that after breakfast—please have something to eat first,’ so we took the liberty of enjoying a bowl of pho for breakfast. We were so satisfied with the pho we had every morning during our stay that it was so delicious we even decided to skip our planned visit to a famous restaurant in the Old Quarter. Also, there was a day during our stay when my son wasn’t feeling well. When my wife and I went down to the breakfast room on our own, the same male member of staff mentioned earlier showed concern for my son and offered to ‘bring breakfast up to your room’ and ‘pick up some medicine from a nearby chemist if you need it’. Thanks to a day of rest at the hotel, my son’s condition improved before long and everything turned out fine. Feeling unwell whilst abroad is incredibly unsettling, so we were truly grateful that he took the time to check on us. The other staff members and housekeeping team were also impeccable: they were full of smiles and warmth, whilst carrying out their duties with great precision. After breakfast on our final day, just as we were about to step into the lift, the same male member of staff went out of his way to run over to us, bid us farewell and give us a firm handshake. We took a photo together as a memento and said our goodbyes with smiles, but I found myself getting a bit teary-eyed, which was rather unbecoming of a man of my age. Although he wasn’t usually at the reception desk, he was there to see us off when we checked out. We shook hands once more and left the hotel. Although it was a short stay of five nights and six days, it turned out to be a truly memorable hotel experience. My only regret is that I forgot to ask for your name. If you happen to remember our family, I would be very grateful if you could let me know your name. Should I have the opportunity to visit Hanoi again, I would love to stay there once more. I just completed a 3 night stay with them and I can easily say it was one of the nicest, easiest, stress free hotel experiences I have had. The hotel staff are all really friendly and helpful and speak fantastic English. They don’t hover or impose like they do in some other hotels. The room I had was spacious, great condition and spotlessly clean. It had every amenity you want. The room I had was also nice and quiet - no outside noise. When I checked in I was taken to the room, given a room tour and had my questions answered before I even had to ask. It is well located just off the southern edge of West Lake - easy to take a Garb Taxi anywhere in Hanoi and about 45 minutes from the airport. I enjoyed my time in Hanoi and will definitely come back in the near future. This hotel will be top of my list.

loved this place!

Had to be moved twice due to a smell coming from the AC. Front desk was accomodating. But not ideal having to pack up twice. The third room was a duplex suite that was very nice but noisy since its facing the street. I wanted to like this place...but I won't stay here again.
