Does the job, but dated and fairly spenny for what it is

Nice little spot in Baltinglass - pretty much one of your only options to be honest, pleasant enough, very old school BnB

The HEAT. It was up way too high and there’s no thermostatic radiator valves to regulate the temperature; multiple people in our party reported this issue. The water pressure is fantastic in the shower, but it’s difficult to turn on and the toilet flush was poor; windows could not be opened easily.

Great friendly staff especially Liz in the downstairs bar made my trip very friendly and made me feel really welcome Would definitely be staying here again on my next trip to baltinglass

Comfortable bed, clean with welcoming staff. Great bar & restaurant attached. Easy parking on the street.

Nice bed, shame about everything else -get some blinds!!!

Comfortable bed and clean room, generally quiet, warm

There were no black out blinds and the curtains were really light, having asked the staff about the street lights they said they go off at 11pm, unfortunately there were two massive flood lights facing the building so it was like daylight in the room, very annoying for a light sleeper like myself. Had to stick black bags up on the windows to sleep the second night. One window was broken (had no handle, didn't close properly) and the windows were single glazed which meant noise from the street/car was pretty loud, I was lucky it was weekdays because of the pub downstairs. The remote for the TV also didn't work and was pretty damaged and grimy looking. For the price it was a little disappointing.

The staff were lovely. Liz in the bar and so was the young lad. The food was lovely and so were the drinks. The staff made me feel very welcomed.

What it says on the tin. Above a pub, not luxury but more than ample for what I needed

People working in bar helpful and friendly. Issues resolved quickly. Parking easy, right in the centre of town. Extended my stay last minute & in the same room which was such a help.

Unavoidable but fire alarm went off numerous times late at night, no water first two days (staff quickly acknowledged and resolved professionally), floodlights shining directly into room all night, music blasting outside window (staff resolved on one of the nights). Stay if you are a single or couple and coming for a few nights.

Great staff, comfy rooms and amazing scenery

The staff were incredible, very helpful and above all incredibly professional! Especially the young girl with the Dark hair who worked behind the bar she was amazing!! She was there every time we went in, unfortunately we didn’t catch her name but regardless, We felt very welcome and we will definitely be booking again in future

Public transport in and out of the town was horrendous, barely anything available. But the local taxi man was unreal, mighty craic.

Bar and staff were great. Rooms a bit tired

Staff were great. Bed comfy. Shower was cold on the first evening. Breakfast was too late at 9 as I was working. Rooms were a bit tired. The emergency exit light was out side my door and as there was glass above the door is was shining all night.

Germaine's is a good base in the centre of a pleasant small town in the gentle Wicklow countryside.

Breakfast at Germaine's was excellent, with a wide variety of choices (including healthy options). Other places for meals are within easy reach if required; we can recommend Horan's bar, across the street, for dinner. The hotel is in the centre of Baltinglass, which was ideal for the purpose of our visit. Although a large private event with scores of guests was being held in the hotel on the evening of our stay, our room (directly above the event) was completely untroubled by noise. Free on-street parking was available immediately outside the hotel.

Our double room was dominated by the bed, which itself was very compact for a double bed (it should be said, however, that we both slept very well in it). The electric kettle and cups were without tea, coffee, milk, or sweeteners, and we would have liked to have glasses for water. The view from the windows was to the back of the hotel; a room in the front of the hotel would have had a more attractive view out on to the main street. There is no special reception area - reception is handled in the bar, but a visitor has to find that out. However, since we were visiting Baltinglass briefly for a concert nearby, none of the above detracted from our stay.

Location was convenient, bed was ok

The "deluxe double" was not great. Broken window that wouldn't close to block out the music blaring outside, spiderwebs everywhere, broken clothes hangers, light that's not plugged in and has no plug. I was not impressed.

Stretching the definition of a hotel.

Noise from a loud air conditioner unit located outside window which went on every 7/8 minutes, and then went off again after 7/8 minutes. Completely disrupted my sleep. No breakfast available in the restaurant which was next door to the building where the bedrooms were, until 9am. Musty building.

Being on a travelling Holliday, we understand the standard of accommodation is different wherever you stay, we took away

We enjoyed the food and drinks, staff were friendly and helpful. The building on the outside inviting.

Carting suitcases three flights of stairs ( not mention of this in description in listing), rooms small and hot, windows ether didn’t open or were difficult, window frame casings didn’t look like they have been cleaned for years, bathroom tiny, shower mouldy and hard to operate the water.

Disappointing stay

The staff member in bar was friendly and the room was fresh and clean and the pillows were comfortable.

The mattress on the bed was hard and lumpy (requires changing), breakfast is not served until 9am (does not support working visitors, especially as I was charged for B&B and had to buy breakfast from next door shop). The external music from speaker attached to building, whilst nice to listen to during the day, into early evening, remained on until 11.53pm and could still be heard with windows closed.

Staff lovely

Shower not working, music from bar being played outside keeps residents awake on hot nights when we need window open and a domestic dispute in one of the adjoins rooms. Would u like me to say any more

We stayed here once now we keep coming back ...it's a lovely place staff are lovely very accommodating... especially the young lounge girl Leah had a lovely chat with her and brought us over hot food which I taught was lovely and thoughtful... definitely will be back a lot
