About this cottage rental
Traditional small stone cottage fully refurbished to a high standard. Dairy Cottage us tucked away out if sight facing the hills of Saddleworth. It is only 2 minutes walk to the pretty village centre with shops, cafes, pubs within easy walking reach. Beautiful romantic bedroom with French double bed & stunning views. Well equipped kitchen/living area with integrated fridge, full size oven, induction double hob, coffee pod machine, microwave & dualit appliances. (No washing machine) lounge area with TV & lovely fireplace (electric logs). The cottage is ideal for a couple - the bedroom sleeps 2 in a double bed, Brand new high spec shower room with designer shower, toilet & basin. The bedroom and shower room are totally separate from the living room with a locking door. The shower room does form part of the bedroom but is separated by a wall (see photos) but no door - there is a curtain which can be put up for extra privacy if required. Private sun trap patio outside with uninterrupted views of the hills with table and chairs to enjoy your breakfast or glass of wine outside. Free 4G WIFI. Extra garden chairs under the bed. Iron and ironing board. Hairdryer in bedroom drawers. 2 x fold-up tables Towels and bed linen provided. Basic food items are in the cottage : salt, pepper, cooking oil, sugar, sauces etc. Tea and coffee provided

It was a very peaceful spot set back from the road. The car wasn't parked on site but finding a spot on the road was easy and walking up to the cottage was guided with directions very clearly explained with photos by the host. The cottage was very secluded, clean and well equipped with a very detailed guide available to both the facilities and places to go in the area. Comfy bed, great shower, cosy lounge. My partner has had a stroke and walks with a stick but was able to cover the distance from the road, but there aren't any railings and it's a short distance uphill and downhill so worth thinking about if you do have mobility issues as it would've been too hard for him six months ago. I would definitely recommend this cottage as a restful retreat from which to explore the area.

Everything was fine and the location was perfect. The accommodations is ideal for couple to spend some quiet time and in a relaxing environment.

Check in was easy and the cottage clean and warm on arrival. It is small, but was perfect for 2 of us with everything we needed for 2 nights. Shower was hot and powerful. Sofa was a bit uncomfortable to sit on but not a problem. There is a public footpath that runs past the front door but we only saw one person all weekend. We did spot a deer through the kitchen window which was lovely to see. We did some lovely walks from the cottage. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend or stay again. Thank you

I lost my husband of 32years and this break was just what I needed to allow me to move on and take my good memories with me. It was everything I needed. Absolutely magical
