Arrival instructions were difficult to follow. Attention to detail wasn't great on the kitchenware cleanliness. There were broken glasses, cutlery & glasses needed a wash before use. There is a dishwasher though. Would love a different bath mat, it was really slippy on the beautiful bathroom tiles.

It was very spacious, with good lighting in the bathroom and great shower. Very clear instructions from the owner Dom on how to get there as its a little remote. There was also a printed copy for the house on wifi and where to go and what to visit, which I thought was very handy!

There was no body wash, shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom - even minature ones would have been very helpful! This is because I only travelled from a couple of hours away so didn't even think to bring that - but we were given complimentary towels, which was great. The only downside is there was quite an offensive sewage smell after you used the bathroom - I wonder if there is an issue with the pipes?

See the picture with a message from Dom before I even set foot in the property. Heres a thought: if you don't like late bookings, close the property on the sites after a certain point! The rug in the lounge was filthy, the sofa cushion reeked of BO and the kitchen was very sparse. No cafetiere, no coffee (apart from the caked on bits in the jar...), no sugar or tablets for the washing machine so pretty redundant. But a full jar of dishwasher tablets 😆 Overall, it was ok but overpriced and a poor attitude from Dom means I will not be returning

Clean contemporary quality furniture and fitting

Loved the conversion, it was modern but still complimented the original barn features. It was also very quiet and peaceful. Plenty of parking. Hosts provided excellent infuriation and were very friendly.

I’d love an extra choice of pillow as I need firm support for my neck so maybe a couple of additional pillows?

Beautiful countryside location, as expected. Nice views especially from bedroom window. Plenty of parking and no external noise. Just a very clattery expel air in the bathroom which kept us awake and which persisted all day, every day. Wifi was efficient as was hot water, showers etc

Broken expel air. Clattered constantly. No working TV system Large Bath in bedroom was a little bit OTT but some would enjoy it perhaps. Lack of communication with the owner who didn’t resolve our issues on day one and made no attempt to remedy any problems of their causing. Eg no instruction manual in the property, chewed remote control for TV and damaged batteries…suppose a dog maybe? Carpets and cushions very grubby. No outside sitting space which was a shame as the weather was incredible.

Lovely place.

Lovely accommodation to stay in, everything you want from a few days away. The location was great for us, close enough to visit various sites and villages, yet it felt so far away from city hustle and bustle with all the open space it had around it, perfect for our 16 month old cockerpoo. Directions from the host were spot on, as were the check-in instructions, all very easy and painless. It's a great place for a break, I would definitely recommend it.

The location was stunning, driving to and from was always a peasure. Accommodation was first class, just loved it.

Lovely location, Absolutely lovely home. Good Wifi. Loved the fact it is a no-contact check in/out. Amazing View from the track down to the barn. Very good value for money.

Property had some areas that were pretty dirty, This wasn’t too much of an issue as the bedroom was very clean which is where i spent most of my time as i was out during the day. For specifics, wall as you walk in was filthy just needs a wipe down and it would make such a difference! The stairs were brown with dirt from shoes and there were dog hairs all over the sofa. Cups/ cutlery/ bowls etc were very dirty. I ran them all through the dishwasher however the tablet didn’t come out during the cycle, so this may have been the issue before which explains the dirty items. I’ve attached photos for reference but don’t let this put you off. It was an absolutely lovey home, cleaners just need a kick up the backside!

The property was in a good area for our hiking we had planned. Easy check in and check out instructions. Has a great fenced off area for the dog (just a shame our English weather let us down so we didn’t get to use it as much as we would have liked). It is also a nice set out. And also has pretty much everything you need. It had washing up equipment and hand wash which is nice as we stay in a lot of places and a lot don’t provide these. Even had oil to cook with and salt and pepper also coffee tea and sugar. (We didn’t use as brought our own). There is a pub down the bottom of Shiloh lane called the roebuck inn that do the most amazing Sunday lunch and is dog friendly in the bar. Also another pub called the kings arms which is just 25mins walk and they are also dog friendly and do lovely food. Dom was lovely and helps with anything quite quickly.

The tv kept loosing signal which got a bit annoying when the weather was so bad we stayed in quite a bit. I have made Dom aware so I’m sure this will be sorted. There was dark black hair left on the side wall of the shower which was a bit gross. The dishwasher tablet door didn’t open during a cycle. Whilst we were there the water pressure disappeared and then the water was yellow. Dom said somebody had left a tap running which burnt the pump out and he sorted this but we had to buy bottled water just in case. It said it is dog friendly but when got there it said in the information book to keep dogs off carpeted area which was the stairs and upstairs which wasn’t ideal as it didn’t state anything like this when booking. The stairs and landing carpet are desperate for a clean. (Just an idea for others, I always take a video of the whole place when we first arrive just so that we don’t get blamed for any defects already there.)There is a permanent resident family that live next door to the Shiloh barn and the minute we pulled up in car the fella was out telling us we can’t park there so felt a little unwelcome instantly. Also the husband accidentally used his recycle bin and he came straight round and told us to remove it in a hostile fashion. No fault on Dom the owner though. The lady resident next door drives down the lane like a maniac so just be mindful as when she drives past the barn to go turn round she drives really fast so if you have dogs or kids be extra vigilant. These are quite trivial things and I made Dom aware as obviously if people don’t tell him he won’t know to fix them.

Property was modern, loved the decor and the bath on the bedroom, great location also.

Great location

The beds were a little hard for us, and the bedrooms were a bit small. We were disappointed to find out we didn't have a bath. It's a shame the view out of the window wasn't better as it's in a beautiful location.

Clean , comfortable, underfloor heating a plus!! Fenced dog garden was very handy. Although never met Dom in person all the online instructions we were given regarding check in etc were clear concise and easy to follow.

Host was very friendly and welcoming. He went out of his way to help us and was clearly very sympathetic when there was a slight misunderstanding about our booking. There are lots of lovely walks around and you're really surrounded by nature. Thank you for making it dog-friendly! Our pooch Jack enjoyed his stay here and loved rolling around in the garden. :) The property itself is beautiful with lots of character, and is clean, cosy and renovated. We enjoyed staying a week here.

Although it's out of the host's control, unfortunately we had noisy/disrespectful neighbours on both sides. The property itself is in a lovely secluded area, but there are neighbours immediately next to you and unfortunately we were woken up at 2 AM by someone calling their dog, while the neighbours on the other side regularly had loud children playing. We had our windows open and often smelled cigarette smoke coming in.

The property was just perfect for us to stay with our dogs. beautiful quiet location too. Bed very comfortable and loved the big bath in the bedroom. Modern with nice decor. Thanks for a great stay!
