Broadstairs Beach Holiday Apartments, opposite Kingsgate Bay with a parking space

It was super close to the beach and the cycle path to Margate and Broadstairs fantastic

We thought the location was excellent and the apartment was perfect

Nothing everything was perfect

Visited as two mature couples. Great friendly communication from host who dealt with a couple of queries before and during visit very quickly. Apartment is spacious and has everything we needed , including towels, tea towels, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and a fully equipped kitchen. We slept really well in the comfortable beds and there is ample storage space. The main bedroom has an ensuite bath and toilet. There is also a separate toilet and shower room. It is beautifully located overlooking Kingsgate Bay and the steps to the beach are just across the road. Perfect for a day on the beach and for visiting the whole of Thanet.

Nothing really to dislike. We loved it and would definitely stay again. However, one of our party has mobility issues and uses a rollator. We knew there are steps before we booked and he could just about manage as there is a handrail. Might be difficult/impossible for some. Ensuite does not have a shower, just a bath. 2nd bedroom is at the back of the flat and has one or two steps down to it. It does not have an ensuite and anyone using that bedroom would have to use the main shower room.

Fab location with a view over the bay from your windows. Technically it’s Broadstairs but it’s a couple of miles to the actual town and facilities. Pub just down the road was closed but there was a lovely pub just a 10 minute walk along the coastal path. Perfect place to explore the area with easy access to coast path so you can easily walk into Broadstairs one way or Margate the other way. Kitchen was well stocked and the house was lovely it was just really tired and needed some TLC.

House needed a good clean. Fridge needed a wipe inside. Carpets look tired and worn and all but the flooring needed a deep clean. Not sure the ensuite had even been cleaned between stays judging by the amount of hair and sand when we tried to have a bath and the bit of pooh in the toilet. And no door on the bathroom. Toilet in the family bathroom wouldn’t flush so we couldn’t use it. The shower was a built in shower with just a glazed door so couldn’t tell how clean it was in there as the light inside wasn’t working! Luckily 2 out of 3 of the spot lights outside in main bathroom were working so you didn’t have to shower in complete darkness. Holder for the shower head needs replacing as it wouldn’t stay in place once it got wet and kept just sliding back to the base of the pole and spraying at the wall. Disappointing as the house has the potential to be amazing.
