Skjolden Resort

The resort is located in the beautiful surroundings of the small town of Skjolden. Our apartment was the smallest one on the second floor, accessible by an outdoor staircase, but it was still very spacious. There is also a terrace with beautiful views of the Sognefjord. At night, it’s extremely quiet you can even hear the gentle sound of the water. The off-season price was reasonable. Parking is easy, with plenty of spaces right next to the apartment. The location is calm and perfect for relaxation or trips around the area. Heating can be adjusted as needed, and the kitchenette is fairly well equipped. Overall, we had a great stay. We would definitely return or recommend this place. The manager was very kind and helpful.

Some things could use repair or replacement. As it’s a wooden building, you can hear noise from other apartments, as mentioned in other reviews. Finding the apartment was a bit confusing better signs near reception would help, especially during the ongoing renovations.

The location and views were unmatched and the bed was comfortable and check in was relatively easy.

We had to make our own bed which was odd and the shower had very little hot water. Not very private.
