Beautiful house and the room was very grand with a nice view.
Very clean which for a property like this must be quite a task!
The owners were very pleasant and welcoming.
I hadn't realised that the bathroom was at the other side of the landing and beautiful though the bathroom was it wasn't as convenient as having an en suite. If you need to nip to the toilet in the middle of the night. You run the risk of disturbing other guests.
Difficult to watch TV (due to the style of the bed), without moving furniture around.
Good location to use as a base to travel to other areas, not a lot to do in Helensburgh itself.

Location was fantastic, right next to Helensburgh Upper station and a short walk to the centre. Lesley was lovely and welcoming and really helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable and the view was fantastic.

What a gem! This lovely inn was one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland. If you enjoy historic and beautifully decorated houses this is for you. Spacious rooms views of the lovely gardens. Our hosts, Leslie and Simon went out of their way to make our trip memorable. Starting with a hearty homemde breakfast to advice for our entire itinerary. We enjoyed The Moorlands so much that we rearranged our itinerary to stay another night at the end of our trip. We very highly recommend.
Only that we didn’t have longer to stay.

Breakfast was rather basic. There was no choice, a cooked breakfast arrived. We were not asked if we had any preferences, eg type of egg. What we got was an overcooked egg poached in a mould
One would assume a private bathroom was en suite, not on the opposite side of a landing on which there were other guests. This was not even the bathroom for the room we were allocated. A notice in our room stated that the bathroom was down a flight of stairs behind a red curtain!!
Also a table on the landing had a selection of teas. Having decided to have green tea we noticed on the box the use by date was 09/24!!
