About this apartment rental

Our large and sun-filled condo has plenty of space for a large family and lifelong memories. We are part of the Hali'i Kai community.

Enjoy the Hawaii vacation you've dreamed of in the gated community of Hali'i Kai.

Our 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom two-story condo offers guests two lanais and a two-story great room with vaulted ceilings and southerly exposure for amazing sunlight, great gatherings and timeless memories.

The unit has fantastic wi-fi speed (270 MBS) so you can either work-from-paradise or stream videos as you please.

There is a brand new BBQ grill outside to complement the fully-stocked kitchen, which includes a Nespresso machine and Vitamix mixer.

If you choose to eat out, there are countless dining options nearby. We also provide a Travel Guide in the condo and a link to it when you book your stay.

Guests will also enjoy all the resort amenities of Hali'i Kai. Please note that Hali'i Kai collects a resort fee of $25.00 + tax per day for each reservation (not per person).

Guests must register and pay the resort fee directly at the front Desk at Hali'i Kai upon arrival (or the next morning if your arrival is after 5pm).

As a guest, you are also required to provide a credit card with a $100 hold for the Guest Cards. The amount is returned to you upon returning the cards.

The pool area was recently rebuilt with resort-level pools, lounge chairs, and a sand-bottom hot tub. There is also a spa, a gorgeous fitness area overlooking the ocean, and a full-service restaurant & bar.

Back in the unit, there is one bedroom on the main floor, and two more upstairs.

The first floor bedroom features a queen bed with a full bathroom in the hallway outside.

Upstairs is the master bedroom with a king bed, featuring an ensuite bathroom with a deep-soak tub, separate shower, and his and hers sinks.

The second upstairs bedroom has a bunk bed with a twin on top and queen on the bottom, and a twin trundle. It also has a 3/4 bathroom just outside of it.

In addition to the "Ocean Club" amenities mentioned above, there is also a private tennis court and basketball court nearby.

The tennis court is often converted into pickleball courts (which our family loves to play!).

Finally, there is a hammock park in the Coconut Grove just steps from the tennis and basketball courts.

There is also a Beach Closet in the unit that contains lots of beach and sports items for your use and pleasure.

In-unit amenities include central air conditioning, hi-speed WiFi, ceiling fans, a fully-stocked kitchen, a full-sized washer and dryer with laundry soap, and shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hair dryers in the bathrooms.

GUEST ACCESS:

You will have full access to the 3 bed, 2.75 bath condominium, alongside all the amenities included below.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:

Check-in time is 4pm. Check-out is 10am.

As much as we would like to accommodate early check-in or late check-out, we cannot due to back-to-back bookings. Take advantage of our luggage drop-off for early arrivals.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY

We allow cancellations and offer a 96% (payment less administrative fees incurred by us) refund from the date of booking till 30 days prior to check-in. Cancellations made within 30 and 14 days of check-in are subject to a 50% refund, and reservations cancelled within 14 days of check-in are not entitled to a refund. Please inquire for additional details.

Additionally we require a $500 deposit or you have the option of purchasing damage waiver protection for your stay with us for $35 (which covers you for up to $500). You will be invited to verify your identity and select from one of these two options through a separate email from our insurance broker Truvi.
Please respect the following house rules:

1. All guests are required to register at the Castle Resort front office, adjacent to the property entrance. Front office hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
2. Parking is only permitted in your assigned stall and any marked visitor parking areas
3. All vehicles must display a valid parking pass or they may be towed
4. Quiet hours are from 9:00 pm to 8:00 am daily. Failure to observe these hours may result in removal from the property
5. Children must be supervised at all times
6. Do not feed stray cats or nēnē (Native geese)
7. Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vapes, is not permitted anywhere on the property (including lanais and roads, etc.). There are designated smoking areas
8. The use of drones is not permitted anywhere on the Hali’i Kai property

Our party of 7 really enjoyed this spacious and incredibly well-stocked unit. It was wonderful having laundry, a full kitchen, and beach amenities (chairs, umbrellas, cooler, sand toys, etc) provided. My parents enjoyed their own bedroom and bathroom on the main floor and leisurely walks to the Ocean Club where they could just veg out at the poolside or on a chaise overlooking the ocean.The listed photos of the unit are detailed and true to reality. Drew was responsive and very helpful with recommendations. I had to message him for directions on how to turn on the showers because it was not too obvious--it takes a relatively forceful pull of the knob!The unit is located only minutes away from Kings' Shops and Queens' Marketplace, which makes shopping and dining easy. It took us about 30 minutes to get to Honokohau Harbor for our nighttime manta ray and Captain Cook/Kealakeua Bay.In sum, we highly recommend this unit and would definitely return. Mahalo, Drew!

We had a wonderful week in Hawaii. The home was perfect for our two families. The pool was the perfect size for spending the day with the kids. Our host Drew was responsive and helpful. If we're back on the Big Island we're definitely staying again!

We had a great time visiting Big Island and staying at Andrew's property. Andrew is a good host, and the best is that Andrew answers our inquires quickly. For example, it seemed that there was an internet issue at VRBO, and we did not receive the entry code to the house before we left for Big Island. Once we contacted Andrew through his cell phone messaging, Andrew forwarded the info to us right away. He is very quick on answering our texts in other situations. He also suggested good place for dinning and entertainments before we left for the vacation. The communication with the host really is the best compared to other rentals we had so far. At this gated community, there is a club with a kid swimming pool, a small gym, and a bar for drinks, lunches and dinners. The environment is very relaxing/beautiful, and the pool is right by the ocean front. Parents can relax and have a drink while kids play and find their own friends in the pool. We enjoyed our stay a lot. I would recommend this place to families visiting Big Island, especially families with young kids and parents really wanting to relax.
