Jump into your car and make short work of the 19-minute drive to Tagliacozzo or the 29-minute drive to Amphitheatre of Alba Fucens (and enjoy the property's convenient onsite parking in the meantime).

We stayed in this wonderful place for 3 nights and I would have asked to stay longer if we could. This was our first time in Italy and tried to do the whole trip by train, bus, taxi or uber. Little did we know (I tried doing as much research as I could, but still it wasn’t enough) we would have needed a car for this beautiful, little village in the mountains. I let our hose know how we were getting there and I explained that we were being dropped off at the bus station in Canistro Inferior and asked about taxi services. He explained that we were literally in the middle of no where (but it was so breathtaking bellísimas). We were tired from traveling all day from Rome, and we were hungry. It would have been an hour walk from the station to his home. On top of that, it was raining. He picked us up. Dropped us off at a restaurant for dinner. Dropped our luggage off at the house. Picked us up fromRestaurant (delicious food) and brought us to his VRBO to rest our weary heads. The next day, he offered to bring us to the market to get food for the next two days. He was definitely an angel on earth. If your soul ever needs a rest and you want to stay in the mountains in Italy, this is the perfect place to be.
