The house was as described, kitchen was furnished well with dishes, cups, pots and pans and the bedding was high quality along with the towels. The outside grill needed cleaned and better knobs and as a motorcycle rider would have LOVED to see a blacktopped driveway.

This home is a favorite location for us when we visit Athens. It is spacious, very clean, and so comfortable! Much thought has been put into making this guest house a relaxing place to enjoy a getaway near Athens. The hot tub is a treat. The hosts provide a well stocked (and spacious) kitchen. Little touches like soft afghans and candles make the space cozy. The night sky here is beautiful and there is a porch to enjoy for stargazing or just relaxing with a drink or having a picnic supper. This home has it all!

The property was fantastic & we all had a relaxing weekend. The house is amazing with incredible woodwork & all of the amenities you’d ever need. The location is remote enough to get some peace & quiet but close enough to OU to enjoy events going on there too. Our group of 4 loved our stay. Everything was as expected and the pictures don't do it justice as place is gorgeous inside and the space is very large to spread out. The property is well stocked and the owners have thought of everything. Communication was excellent prior to check-in and throughout stay. Highly recommend!

The house is well thought out. Really liked having the huge kitchen, large bathrooms and 3 king beds. We enjoyed grilling out and listening to the sounds of nature. Close to Athens for restaurants etc.

The house is beautifully located not far from town and convenience. We stayed five nights and it was beautiful. We went to town and bought groceries. There’s a grill for cooking out and all the accommodations to make beautiful meals. We enjoyed the campfire and the hot tub . The house was very clean and neat and well maintained. We are able to sit back and relax and enjoy our time. I would highly recommend this place.!

Great cabin near Athens. Enjoyed the hills, sounds of nature and local hiking. Able to get to Ohio Heritage graduation ceremonies within 15 minutes. Cabin had many items available for our use. Plenty of kitchen towels! Enjoyed the front porch in morning and evening. Back patio was great for corn hole game. Hot tub was wonderful. House design is perfect for privacy even with three couples. Hosts were terrific.

We had a great time with friends visiting OU and watching the football game. The house is large, and has brand new with nice fixtures / trim. The host was quick to respond and easy to work with. It was our second time there, and I would definitely stay again in the future.

We needed a place to stay near the university not in the thick of things. This home was perfection! A reasonable drive (about 15 minutes) to where we needed to go at O.U. The space itself is extremely well thought out. From the outside the home looks mid/small, but the way everything was set up made maximal use of an interior that is actually huge! The main living room/kitchen area is very nicely decorated and has extra thoughtful touches EVERYWHERE. Extra blankets for the couches, coasters if you are going to put drinks anywhere, furniture that seems like it would be stain proof if there was a spill, etc... The kitchen has pretty much everything you need whether you want to cook inside, grill outside, or if ordering something for pick up. Everything you need to clean up after the meal is there too. Even if we forgot to bring something, the kitchen seemed to have many utensils and basics already stocked. Beds/rooms are all super comfortable, each with their own TV (and DirecTV). If you have extra folks with you, everyone can watch what they want. Bathrooms were both great, again with liquid hand soap, shampoo/conditioner/body wash and plenty of towels, ice laundry bins to drop used towels in at the end of your stay. I'm a Virtual Reality nerd, and one of my favorite things is to explore virtual homes in VRChat. This home felt like it was that brought to life: PERFECT!!! Thanks to the Bush family for the wonderful space!

We loved our stay here. The house was perfect for 3 couples with the rooms having 3 king size beds. That you don't find often. There was plenty of room to park the trucks and trailers that we hauled the Harleys in. Very quiet and peaceful location. Pictures lead me to believe this home was much smaller than it actually is. We would recommend and would defiantly book again.

Perfect place to stay when visiting Ohio University or Hocking Hills. Open floorplan boasts three large bedrooms. Main bedroom with en suite huge bathroom with access to hot tub. Cornhole and covered porch offers great conversation areas. Will definitely recommend to those heading down to visit kids at OU. 10 minutes from campus.

What a great place to create family memories. We were in town for a family enduro and to look at OU. This house met all of our needs and more. We enjoyed hours of fishing, late night hot tubbing, grilling, friendly games of cornhole/basketball, and watching the deer frolic in the field. George was great at communication before and during our stay. As a mom, the cleanliness was superb, and all the kitchen supplies were provided to make a nice family meal. We will be back!

In Athens for a swim meet and this was close to campus but felt like a mini vacation. Owner was great and helpful. Kitchen is huge and we cooked a lot. Had all the bells and whistles.

My husband and I stayed at the property for the weekend with our 4 children. We were in the area to visit OU. The location was perfect. We could be on the campus in under 15 minutes. But we really enjoyed the quietness of the house and our kids especially loved the hot tub. The place is beautiful, clean and the best stocked VRBO rental we have ever stayed at. The owner got back to us very quickly when we had questions and was friendly and accommodating. Don’t hesitate to stay here!

We stayed for a week. Had a great time. We came up to stay so we could watch our oldest son play baseball for the southern Ohio copperheads in the summer collegiate league. The owner of the property is very nice and even saw him at one of the games. He lives just up the road from the rental so if you need him he is only a minute or two away. Everything was just like it was supposed to be with the house. My youngest son fished about everyday in the pond. If we make it back to that part of Ohio we will definitely rent this house again.

Quiet getaway

We came with three couples,the set up works well master with bath and to equal bedrooms with bath between. It has nice open living area. We saw deer and rabbits everyday. It’s a winding road to get there and the final turns are easy to miss but we had down pretty quickly. The owner are easy going and respond quickly. We had no issues
