The place is very clean and well organized. It’s truly equipped with everything you might need – from towels to kitchen utensils, and there were even complimentary treats left for us. Every window has mosquito nets, as well as external shutters and curtains, and one of them even has a clothes rack. There’s also air conditioning and constant hot water (which for me is definitely a big plus). Our host welcomed us warmly – she was very kind, helpful, and friendly, even recommending different places for us to visit. She also always replied to our messages quickly. There is a parking spot, which is highly appreciated when you’re in Kavala. We found it easily, as well as the apartment itself. The location is both a plus and, to some extent, a minor downside. On one hand, it’s really close to the center (about 3–5 minutes on foot), with all the interesting places nearby. It’s also quiet, with no outside noise. On the other hand, it’s worth noting that the parking spot is located directly under the apartment windows (the apartment is on the second floor), but to reach the entrance door you need to go up about 10 steps to reach the ground floor. Personally, I needed a bit more movement, so it worked out well for me 😄.

As for a few small downsides: the way to the parking spot is on a steep slope, and once you get there, maneuvering the car (for example, to turn around) can be a bit tricky. However, after a few times parking, you get used to it. We also found it a little unusual that other cars were parked right in front of the entrance door (since it’s shared space for the building), but they didn’t cause us any noise or trouble. Lastly, keep in mind that there isn’t a terrace with a view (the windows face other buildings). This also wasn’t a problem for us, but the photos were a little misleading in that regard. In conclusion, we had a wonderful stay in Kavala and at Joy Spot apartment. We truly appreciate their hospitality and everything they did for us. The treats left for us were delicious, the apartment was comfortable and convenient, and the whole experience was great. I definitely recommend it!

Thankyou for a great stay

Joy Spot was an exceptionally good stay. Really nice to be met by the host and have the property explained. Communication before arrival was excellent and even during our stay when we needed help she was available and helpful. Joy Spot is just a short walk to the waterfront and close to a supermarket, cafes, bakeries, fresh fruit & vege stores. The apartment had everything to make sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

The apartment is beautiful, spacious and elegant, decorated with great taste. The facilities are very good and I mention the bed with a comfortable mattress with memory foam, the air conditioning in the living room and the fan in the bedroom, washing machine. The kitchen is also well equipped, even having a microwave oven and a NESPRESSO espresso machine. The Internet works very well, you can watch movies on Netfix. A big plus is the included parking space. The host is very welcoming. She responded quickly to all our requests.

Very cozy place, great host

Very clean and cozy place, comfy bed, well equipped kitchen. The host was so nice and has thought even on the smallest details. We were traveling with a kid (3y) and except for the baby bed, she has left a box full of toys, which was such a good surprise for us and kept our son busy. There were also some snacks and beverages left in the kitchen, which were also life saving with an always hungry child. :) Location of the apartment is great, walking distance to the city center + the parking spot is a real advantage. We loved the Christmas decorations!

nothing in case you have a lot of suitcase you can unload in front of the door and than move to the parking. otherwise there are about 10 stairs to get to the appart.

Wir hatten eine großartige Zeit in dieser Unterkunft! Die Lage ist absolut top - zentral, aber ruhig, und alles ist fußläufig super erreichbar. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgeberinnen war von Anfang an sehr freundlich, schnell und hilfsbereit wir haben uns rundum wohl und gut betreut gefühlt. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht -es hat uns wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiter und würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen!
