This beautiful home in France was a breath of fresh air. Peacocks, ducks, cats and chickens roaming around the garden were so lovely. My son fell in love with a funky black and white chicken that actually sat and had a cuddle with him! The children also loved finding all the peacocks/ducks dropped feathers. The double bed was comfortable and room and nice size.bath in the bedroom was unusual, but nice, and there was a shower head, which helped with the kids' washing. The pool was great for the kids to have a play in, especially as we had beautiful hot weather. It is a very quirky place full of random art and items of furniture. Eric seemed like a lovely, kind, and welcoming host. However, due to us not speaking any French and him not speaking English, it was very tricky to communicate, but we managed.we would most definitely visit again, however we'd book the hen house due to the size suitability and comfort for our family. Any of the things we didn't like were minor inconvenience due to us not being there much. And im sure if we were able to communicate with Eric and needed support with any of the inconveniences, he would do his best for any guest.

The kitchen room and loft room with single beds were smaller than we expected, and the single beds were very uncomfortable due to foam mattresses on the wooden board base. Stairs to loft room are very steep, so they are not suitable for younger children. Also, if need toilet during the night, it wouldn't be safe. The kitchen, although fully functional, isn't suitable if you want to cook a full meal as only a small toaster oven, hob, and microwave. There was also only 1 bowl, a wooden spoon, but no other utensils. Again, we managed, but we did very little cooking as we were out most of the time. Also, there is space to sit but not comfortable, especially for a family of 4. However, there is a large bench table outside.

Large amount of old furniture with no practical use, wardrobe would have been more use than a large bookcase, food cupboard than display shelves. Nowhere to sit other flimsy kitchen stools or outside not good when raining. Bath in middle of main bedroom no curtain
