Everything was perfect. From the communication regarding check-in and getting the keys, to the spectacular views, which were better than the pictures shown on Booking.com. Once all the shutters were opened, the apartment is bright and airy. The kitchen was fabulous, with everything you need. They even provide basics like oil, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, etc. Great little dining area. The main bedroom is large with a nice size bathroom and a view of the lake from the bathroom window. The patio is fabulous, with amazing views. The second bedroom, which has two single beds, also has an en-suite bathroom. Although the second bedroom is accessed via the patio, this did not worry my daughter or myself. Brunate is a fabulous little town to explore, and it's easy to get to Como from the apartment as the Funicular station is a couple of metres away. There is a nice little shop to buy fresh produce, but just check on opening times.

Not the fault of the property, but the queue's for the Funicular took a long time to reach the apartment. Not sure if we missed something regarding fast track. It also did become a bit expensive as there was no 48-hour discounted travel option.

It happened that we had an issue the very first night we arrived: there was a gas leak in the building. When we realised the problem I tried to reach the owner. I called but my call was not answered and then I texted the issue. The only answer I got back was : “ don’t worry there is no gas leak in the apartment” I have to specify that the owner was not in the building and not even in the area. So it was just an assumption that could’ve had put people’s life in danger. There was no support and no encouragement to call firefighters. It is what I did because I’m old enough to know that it’s something dangerous. So the firefighters came and work for a few hours to fix the problem because there was one. They asked me to reach the on again so I gave them the number but nobody replied So basically, it’s a nice view and a nice apartment but you better have no problem because there’s no support at all from the owners whose behaviour is, to me, irresponsible when it comes to issues that can put someone’s life in danger. And of course, when I tried to reach them later to express my feelings , the owner was trying to say it was not his fault, it is the building not his flat and he says that he has reported the issue to the building manager …but days later after my complain..
