The Old Post Office - Central Helmsley with Parking

It was very central and the kitchen was well appointed.

We stayed during a heat wave which of course would have been uncomfortable anywhere, so I think maybe the provision of an electric fan or two would have been very much appreciated. They are not expensive and it would be a thoughtful addition to the facilities. Also, I’ve never stayed anywhere where there are no complimentary toiletries in the bathroom- just a small touch but noticeable by their absence. Finally - there was a small courtyard between all the properties - clearly the other properties had access to it but this property doesn’t and therefore has no outside space at all. This is such a shame and at any other time it wouldn’t have been an issue but in a heatwave, it was disappointing not to be able to make use of the space that the other properties could.

Right in the centre so location is great, it's very spacious downstairs and has private parking however it wasn't the easiest to find as the code to the padlock for the parking paddock didn't work so we didn't realise at first that was were we were supposed to park.

The curtains in the bedroom are quite thin so don't keep out the light very well. The dining room chairs are a bit flimsy.

The house was in the centre of Helmsley and we loved the location. The house was clean and had very comfortable beds.
