Air-conditioned flat with terrace - Private & independent - Lourdes

Zentral - Der Host gab klare Infos! Für 3Tage hatte es alles was man braucht

Bei der Ankunft regnete es stark und die Haus-Türe zur Strasse war offen. Entsprechend gingen wir direkt zur Wohnung hinauf. Ein riesiger Fehler Als wird dann weggehen wollten, war die Haustüre verschlossen und wir konnten das Haus nicht mehr verlassen. Jede Feuerwehr würde sagen, dass von Ihnen jederzeit geöffnet werden muss. Fazit: Vergesst ja nicht den Haus-Schlüssel aus dem schwarzen Kasten von der Strassenseite auszulösen und mitzunehmen!

Loved the fact it was in Lourdes Old Town. Handy for several of the relevant sightseeing spots. The weather was beautiful and the terrace was wonderful to spend time on. The views from the Terrace of the Old Fort and told Parish Church steeple and Pic de Jer were great too.

Up on 3rd floor wasn't great but worth it for Terrace. Could have had 2 hand towels alongside the bath towels.

The Terrace is what makes the place as it looks over the castle and mountains in a really great view and is very private too. The apartment was clean and the bedroom was fine, the bed was comfortable and bathroom were nice and it was a good shower. Bring your own shampoo / conditioner ! Kitchen is well stocked once you buy in your food, oil etc The sitting room is small but the sliding doors open to the terrace with the parasol table and chairs and this really sells the apartment. The air conditioning works but might need an overhaul.

(1): The apartment was 3rd floor for anyone with mobility issues to be aware. (2): There was one front door key between two. We were asked by a neighbour to keep the door locked. So if we were separating with one of us going out only, one wouldl go down to unlock the door and leave the key back to the other up three levels so they could lock it behind them later. Though we did find some others were leaving the front door unlocked. Anyway,why not two front door keys by the time you give two apartment keys? (3): Big problem as was working while in Lourdes: it states there's wifi but it was soooo slow it just let us down, like something from early internet era so we ended up having to hotspot and go over our plans and will get a big bill. We contacted the host on this. He said to try plugging in and out a new modem which he said he hadn't got to test fully before we arrived. Anyway it wasn't really working. (4): The other annoying thing was no iron. We asked him and he said to ask the neighbours. The girl next door checked and said she didn't have one. I emailed again in English no response. Then I wrote in French and he asked me in French if I spoke French and if I'd buy him an iron and ironing board and he'd pay me back. With a few days to go in the heat we weren't going out buying an iron and ironing board. But if in future he sorts the above things out it's a fab apartment worth the money and despite the above ( I hope he'll fix these) we'd a lovely time there so I do recommend it.

Good location,near the grotto, shops and restaurants.

Bed is comfy but the smell of the sheets are bad. I asked for it to be changed but they didnt and i was told to help myself with the washing machine. There is a spare sheet but it was also damp and with musty smell. It makes sleeping very uncomfortable.
