Lovely location and comfy, great for a winters stay

Comfy bed, fabulous hot shower, clean, warm, parking on site, kettle and microwave provided. Even provided sponge and fairy liquid.

Perfect place to stay for a night between Glencoe, Fort William and Glenfinnan.

I had forgotten to leave a review, however this place is so welcoming. A small yet everything you need bedroom and bathroom. Perfectly clean. They also provided a kettlw, teas, coffee machine, pudding and biscuits. Such an amazing place would definitely come again.

The location was great. The room was amazing and very comfortable! There is a parking spot available. The host was very nice and provided all the required instructions for our stay. PS: The neighbor's cat was very nice and cute !! :D

Pillows were very firm. Wishing the gas/electric fire had worked. However communiction with owners was excellent as they werent aware of it.

Great cozy stay!

Everything about the place was very thoughtful! A lot of nice little touches that really made it perfect. The shower was amazing after an international flight and 5hrs of driving.

This isn't their fault at all but I struggled to find the entrance. It was exactly where they said, I was just tired and it was dark when I arrived.

The property was beautifully furnished - warm, well designed and very well equipped. Best shortcake we have tasted too (thanks for that and the breakfast porridge pots - much appreciated!)

One very minor point - the pillows were hard and not comfortable - everything else was perfect though.

A beautiful loft conversion extremely well done and one of the best accommodations on our trip.

This room was absolutely beautiful,a conversation above a garage that could not have been more perfect.Everything we needed was supplied to enable us to have a simple microwave dinner,handy fridge and all china and cultlery,glasses we needed.A simple breakfast of porridge pots is supplied with tea,coffee (machine plus pods) and lovely biscuits also milk in the fridge all appreciated. Beautifully decorated,good quality furnishings and extremely well thought out space,it felt like our own posh little cocoon.It was nice and bright with plenty of windows but with blinds in the bedroom velux.It was a very comfortable bed with good quality bedding.The owners have put a lot of thought ,effort and love into making this a comfortable,attractive and quality place to stay.A fan is also supplied if needed plus heating for colder days. It was very private even though you had to enter through owners garden to get to the garage conversation you had a locked outer door then up some stairs to a separate locked door to enter your room.The separate bathroom was also clean ,modern and beautiful with everything you could want.Thank you for a lovely stay in a fantastic location,the view of the loch at the end of the road was stunning.

The only thing which could easily be remedied was the middle bolt on the outer main gate was very stiff to open and lock,I hurt my finger twice trying to open and lock it and I’m very sorry but did not lock the middle latch on leaving the property because I didn’t want to hurt my finger again,but we had no problem with the top bolt.We were mindful of your son not being able to get out so at least we could bolt the top one. Also a blind in the bathroom velux window would be good as it let to much light into the bedroom when opening bathroom door in early bright morning.

If you are planning a trip to Lochaber, this would be a great place to stay.

Although away from Fort William itself, it was a great spot, close to the water and the new walkway with the most incredible view of Ben Nevis. We liked the set-up of the room, the cleanliness of it all and the nice touches such as Highland Soap and breakfast items. There was plenty of room for a couple. Private parking. Nice and airy thanks to the modern windows and fans if needed.

Personal taste - but the bed was a little too firm for me but my wife was quite happy.

Great hosts and lovely studio!

Kerry was so helpful and accommodating when we stayed. Our plans and timings were changing and she had no problem, offering help when asked. The studio was really cosy and the decor was lovely. Lots of nice touches and would be a great place to relax after a busy day walking.

Slightly out the town so not as handy if you didn't have a car but was no problem for us.

It is a very nice decorated accommodation. For us it was the best on our budget scottland tour.

The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped and tastefully decorated. Bed comfortable. Room was cosy and quiet. Directions from host helped us easily locate the accommodation. Communication was great from host.

Being a loft above the garage, access up narrow stairs may make the room unsuitable for travellers with mobility problems. Breakfast supplies were okay but only comprised cereal and yoghurt plus tea and coffee. Would have been great to have bread and spreads also, which may be more appealing to some travellers.

The host was very easy to communicate with, very friendly and went over and above to be helpful in any way she could. The location was excellent with lots of facilities very close by.

Beautiful accommodation in handy area

This was our second stay here and we were so happy to return. The room is lovely and cosy and electric fire really adds to the atmosphere, especially during the winter. We will certainly be back.

The only thing that would make this accommodation even better was if there was also a slightly thinner pillow available. Both pillows are very thick and I had to use a throw cushion for sleeping instead in order to not sleep with my neck at a funny angle. The bed and duvet are super comfortable though.

Peaceful and relaxing; quiet and comfortable-- PERFECT

The cleanliness and comfort of the room were very relaxing. The skylights in the ceilings provided serene lighting. The biscuits and milk provided went perfectly with the tea. The bed was soft and wide, with plenty of pillows. The bathroom was spotless and beautifully decorated. The shower was delightful with wonderfully scented shampoo and body wash. The mini-fridge and microwave also allowed us to enjoy our provisions from the Co-op which was conveniently located only a few minutes walk down the street. And the view from the streets of Ben Nevis was, of course, magnificent and awe inspiring... If you are looking for accommodations in Fort William you may find it more comfortable and peaceful in Caol. Not to mention the view of Ben Nevis from Caol is significantly better than the view afforded in Fort William.

Beautifully furnished and very comfortable. It met all of my requirements and the facilities which included tea and coffee along with a microwave and fridge were very welcome. Would recommend for the casual traveler.

Unfortunately, at the time of my arrival the garage floor below the loft accommodation was being painted, which lead to paint fumes leaking into the room and required the windows in the room to be open during the night, as it was quite unpleasant, which was a great shame, as this affected what could have been a pleasant stay in a lovely room. Because of the location, a car is recommended. My only other grip is that there was nowhere in the ensuite to place any toiletries.

Superb

We had an amazing stay at Barra's loft. The room is very easy to access, close to the Banavie train station and many buses (to Fort William, to Glenfinnan, to Mallaig), in the small city of Caol and close to all amenities. You can even go for a nice stroll by the Caledonian canal, less than 5 mins away! I highly recommend.
