Nicely located for short stays.

Perfect for a spending the night for an early flight. 5 minutes walk from the Bus terminal and 20 minutes walk to Tivat Airport.

The property is located on a slight incline, so be mindful if bringing lots of luggage, but it makes for a great view of the port :)

Good for budget stay, but expect that rooms are not properly clean and the language is only Russian.

The atmosphere is welcoming, although it was hard for the taxi driver to locate the place. Could be improved.

The fact that the host (although friendly) didn't speak more than 3-5 words English and the rest was Russian was a discomfort and made communication more or less impossible. This must improve.

The living conditions were not the same as in the photo

Free parking was mentioned in the room's terms and conditions. However, it cost 3 euros per day. The room lacked a private bathroom. There were no dishes in the room. The room was not clean. The room didn't have a balcony. The furniture was broken. The room in reality was quite different from the one in the photo that we had booked.

the woman didn’t speak english, and had a hard time . As my booking.com booking didn’t show up on her app, and tried turning us away numerous time. It was very stressful, bit disappointing.

Everything. Terrible location. The owner does not speak any English and it was a problem when there was no reservation in our name. She opened the door while we were in to tell us to close the door. One bathroom shared with the whole house (4-5 rooms). The carpet was awful and dirty. Sorry but it should not be put on booking. Standards not met.

Dirty and unpleasant.

Although the sheets were clean, the room overall was very dirty. The carpet was full of crumbs, it seems that it had not been cleaned and vacuumed for a long time. The whole house had that smell of an on old dusty place. Moreover, there was a problem with electricity in our room so we couldn't use any of the facilities (refrigirator, AC, charge phones, or turn the lights on). The host couldn't repair it in a day, so on the second day on our stay, we decided to leave. Host agreed to return the money.

A very odd experience

It was close to the bus station which is good for reaching Kotor and surroundings. Beach nearby, walking distance. The price of the accommodation was good, especially since so many places around Tivat are very expensive. One plus was that we felt very safe.

The main negative was that it was very dirty, dusty room with hair on the sofa in the room, sticky surfaces, dirty fridge, the common shower smelled like urine. We know the price is cheap however some more cleaning would be good. The owner doesn’t speak English which brings some misunderstandings. Just for others to be aware: upon paying we payed the tourist tax since it was included in the price on Booking. But this should be payed to the tourist agency, since you have to go and register yourself in Tivat. The host doesn’t do the registration for you. More info about this would be appreciated. Finally, the ad advertised a common kitchen and kettle, however guests are not allowed access to the kitchen and there was no kettle in our room. However some other free rooms had kettles, but when we asked for one we were not given one though. Old bed with iron springs.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! Our story...

Nothing

So after a very long car trip, we were very happy that we finally arrived and parked our car. We entered the already open gate and looked around the house for any signs or people, the front door was open and there was no bell to ring, we tried to mention ourselves calling "Hello" a few times. No sign.... After a while my girlfriend was at the gate and I stood next to the front door and we heard someone yelling from the balcony in Russian/Serbian. She was hanging her washes outside and yelled at my girlfriend to close the gate. There was no welcome or hello. After that she directed us to walk under the balcony which also didn't go in a peaceful way. After following her into her office, she had to sit down and asked us a shit load of questions in Russian. We told her multiple times in English we couldn't understand her. We asked her what language she spoke and showed her the translator on our mobile. But she didn't understand, she only said "translate". We tried a couple more times but she still didn't understand. After that she asked my name which I finally had to point out in the Russian language on the screen. I'm sorry but I've never seen my name written in a different alphabet which I don't know. She didn't know how much we had to pay so we had to show it on my booking. She wanted us to pay now and we told her we had to go to the ATM tomorrow to get the money. She told us it was no problem to pay tomorrow (in Russian, she still only knows the word "pay" in English). After that she led us to the room on the 1st floor. The light wasn't working and it was all dark. I had to use my flashlight to see something and she plugged out the airco to plug in a light next to the bed. That would be the only light we had. Because she couldn't figure out why the light was not working. She led us to the 2nd floor and there everything was working.

The owner only speaks rusian. She was not kind and she was unprofessional. No changing sheets and towels for ten days that we were there. We werent alowed to use kitchen and could only use balcony until the sunset. Higiene was bad and floors were dirty. You pay for using washng machine 3€ per use and so on.

Great and calm guesthouse

The host was very friendly and helpful. He gave us a free tour around the city, that we really enjoyed, drove us to beautiful panoramic views and lend us two bikes to go to the beach. The house is fully equipped and located near supermarket, bus station and beach. We really recommend staying with Boris! :)

The view but we were forced to pay a premium for it over and above what we are supposed to pay for the view room when we arrived.

Beachfront location was a lie there was no beach front. View room we were forced to pay a premium for the view room that we booked at normal price. We were forced to pay for parking. The host was sexist and prejudiced against my Philippine wife. Host was disgruntled and upset that we showed up within the timeframe of the booking. The place was filthy. The bathrooms were full of mold. Our room was supposed to include an attached bathroom it did not. The bathroom did include was a filthy disrepair mess. Mold mildew dirty room. If you want to stay with a race supportRude Russian host in a dirty place that is not what you booked then this is the place for you!

The owner was a nice man. I didn’t not spend much time there but the room seemed ok enough.

Well… The bathroom is out of this world but in a bad way. I do not understand the good reviews this place has. Either I have too high standards or I need glasses to see what everyone else saw good here. We spent one short night there and booked another place. Tivat turned out to be a very expensive place for us

Exquisite location with fantastic views of the area

The location was superb with extensive views of the bay. One of the most picturesque sunsets we’ve seen sat on our balcony. The host, Boris was very accommodating. Would recommend highly

Bad

See my uploaded photos. Location close to main street but with steep incline towards house. From main street to beginning of incline is an access road with many bushes and very tall grass, with no lights except one over trash containers. Would be scary walking there at night. Room advertised as including private bathroom but this is not so in reality. The floor had two separate occupancy rooms with separate numbered doors and a separate bathroom. Boris, a nice gentleman, told me bathroom was mine alone, even though located outside my room, but provided me with no key for it. Turned out it was shared with other room's occupants who used it and left it dirtier than it was before. There were also no toiletries whatsoever, toilet flush pipe leaked and water was all over floor. Fridge and TV in room were unplugged. Although description states it is a flat TV, it was something from the 80's. Also, room has no balcony as advertised; rather a 1x1 terrace outside the room, and shared by all occupants of rooms. I needed room only for a few hours as I had a coming flight, but was forced to give back keys less than 4 hours later as it was noisy and uncomfortable. I couldn't even use the toilet because of how dirty it was. I was contemplating asking for a refund but then wouldn't have been able to write this review.

Óptimo precio-calidad

Muy lindo lugar, de ambiente familiar. Las camas muy cómodas en habitacion espaciosa e iluminada. Está bien equipada con frazadas y pava eléctrica. Atención cordial de los propietarios, siempre atentos a hacerte sentir como en casa.

Lo único para mejorar es la comunicación previa a la llegada, no pude comunicarme ni por mensaje interno, ni llamadas. Luego de esperar un poco la señora me abrió, siempre muy amable y predispuesta.
