Avoid at all cost

There was only one bathroom and not two like what stated in the booking.com. Very poor cleanliness and hygiene: 1) I don’t think the owner washed the pillow case, blanket, and mattress sheets because all of them smells. Also, me and other people will wake up with a flu every morning and we could not stop sneezing most of the time. 2) Also, owner did not clean the toilet properly as there were sponges left somewhere on the toilet sink. There were black stains inside the toilet bowl and it disgusts me every time I went into the toilet. The house was quite dusty as well especially the floor and there was an unpleasant odour in the house. 3) Owner also did not provide us with rubbish bag in the house. Poor customer service: 1) Owner did not supplies us with towels and we had to come to his house to get the towels. It didn’t feel like towels. Instead, I thought they were carpets due to its rough texture. And we are not even children but the towels were very small I think it’s just small towels that people used to dry hair. 2) Owner were quite invasive and busybody. There was one time when he knocked on the door loudly and asking too much stuff regarding where are we going next. 3) bad taste in house decoration for rental purposes. There was a naked woman figurine and a large one at that. There were also lots of alcohol in that house. Overall not suit to become a house that you rent to people.

Interesting place in a great location. It easily accommodated 4 persons but not more . Comfortable and clean but old wit

Location, price . Greeted by host who is easily accessible and resides on the premises.

Lacking some basic things like hand soap, shampoo and a good coffee maker. Some things were provided when asked but we had to go out for coffee every morning end there are plenty of good cafes in the neighborhood. Also, Electricity couldn’t handle hairdryer and we had to get owner to come and correct the issue . It could use some updates especially the bathroom such as replacing broken tiles instead of duct taping and adding a shower curtain.

Old-fashioned charm

We loved the old-fashioned charm of this 17th Century residential building. The apartment is self-contained, elegant and well-furnished. On an upper floor overlooking the large garden to the rear (with visiting well-fed fox), and the street lined with boutiqes at the front. You are in the heart of old Carouge, with it's restaurants and bars, market square and trams into the centre of Geneva. If you read French there is an extensive library of Art and Philosophy books in the large living room.

There was an issue with the stairway lighting but this was fixed upon mentioning it to the owner, who is on-site.

I wouldn’t suggest anyone to book this property. I had made a booking for 2 nights, and I left the moment I checked in.

The location of the property is ok

A very pathetic place to book your stay. Don’t be deceived by the light and pictures of the property posted by the owner. Urine stench along the stairway. No ventilation. No latches on the door to ensure safety. The windows don’t close, simply tied up with string. The place absolutely looks shady.

I don't recommend it to anyone.

The location is good.

Very very disappointing experience. The accommodation was booked for a business trip of 2 people. The host was not available to hand over the keys, although I passed on all the details to the guests and they tried to reach him by phone. Only when I called was the door opened. The flat itself was not tidy. The travellers have reported of: Cat hair, dust on the furniture, 1 unusable bed and the cupboards were full of stuff that (probably) belonged to the owner. The host responded to all these points by saying that such things were the charm of old houses. Very questionable for me... The business travellers felt very uncomfortable and did not even unpack their suitcases. They had already started looking for new accommodation and moved out the following day. After all these incidents and futile attempts to get the money (at least part of it) back (we booked for almost 1 month), we were only reimbursed for 2.5 nights!!!! I tried to negotiate with the host through bookings.com to refund us the amount for (at least) 1 week. Unfortunately no chance, the host was not understanding at all. Never again. I don't recommend to anyone.

Attenzione, l''appartamento non c'è, è una truffa!! Mi sono recata sul posto in Rue Ancienbe 11 a Ginevra e in questo stabile non c'è nessuna reception dove fare il check-in, al numero di contatto dove ho chiamato innumerevoli volte non risponde nessuno, e nessuno richiama. Decisamente sono stata ingannata! Fortunatamente booking mi ha rimborsato l'intero importo versato anticipatamente.
