Lovely family running the place. The owner, who speaks great English, goes out of her way to make guests comfortable and optimize their stay. She recommended a beautiful bike ride through the coconut fields, hitting the town, and seeing the local Buddhist temple. She also coordinated my overnight bus to Dalat and drove me to the pick up station. The hostel is situated in a local neighborhood that makes you feel like you are part of Ben Tre. Very authentic and immersive experience, separated from civilization. Very clean accommodations, good food, and the hammocks are awesome.

The homestay is located in front of the river, which gives a wonderful view from the restaurant/hammock. Perfect for relaxation! The lady hosting is incredibly kind, friendly, helpful, and generous! The breakfast is substantially consistant (eggs with 2 breads and fruits) + tea /coffee. My room was very clean, spacious enough and the bed confortable. Bathroom areas were also correct given the context of the wind an nature around. It was possible to use freely a bike for one hour or 2. The lady host also arranged the bus ticket for me to go to the next destination and her husband drove me to the nearby bus station at 5 am as there were no grab from that area.

One small suggestion is that the husband could make a bit more efforts to be more smiling and friendly cuz I felt somehow uncomfortable around him. But it was not too bad and his wife's extreme good mood overshadows it :)

This was truly the definition of paradise! The most relaxing location with beautiful views onto the Mekong river. The host family were so kind and helpful, providing brilliant recommendations, arranging motorbike rentals and a local tour along the river. Breakfast every morning was fab and the flexibility to eat anytime for lunch + dinner was a great plus. I will always remember my time here fondly.

The owner was excellent, she is so kind and attentive. The location of Bentrestay is wonderful, next to a canal feeding into the Mekong. It’s a quiet and relaxing stay and a much more authentic area of Vietnam.

Nothing. It’s all very good. The facilities are basic but that is part of the charm.
