Welcome to the Black Bear Getaway Cabin, a modern cabin comfortably equipped to fit 6 friends and family members. Away from all the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but close enough for an easy commute to visit! You are only 15 minutes from Gatlinburg and 19 minutes from Pigeon Forge.

Can you drink from the tap?

How are the roads?
✓ Depends on the guest if you are used to some windy/hilly roads they are not bad but if you are new to them them can be intimidating as long as you have a 4 wheel drive you will be fine
What brands of shampoo/conditioner/body wash are provided?
✓ Shampoo (Pantene moisturizing shampoo)
✓ Conditioner (Pantene moisturizing conditioner - silicone free)
✓ Body wash (Dove: deep moisture body wash)
How comfortable are the pull out beds?
✓ Pull out beds are never luxury my friends, but they make due (Keep this in mind while booking)

We enjoyed our stay visiting with family in Pigeon Forge. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and the host responded rapidly to my inquires.

We had a wonderful two week stay in the Smokey Mountains. The cabin was clean and homey. We slept in the bed on main floor and it was so comfortable. All the comforts of home. Ava and Ben, our hosts responded quickly to any of our inquiries.

Here's a short list of pros and cons:
Pros:
- LOCATION!!! The location is awesome. It is only about a 15-20 minute drive to anywhere you want to go... Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, or hikes in the Smokies.
- Size was comfortable enough for our two families. We have a 4 year old that slept on his cot with us. My SIL and her husband have a 13 year old that slept on the couch.
- Deck was large.
- Hot tub worked.
- Washer/Dryer.
- Blackout curtains were great.
- I'll emphasize this a second time... LOCATION!
Cons:
- I wouldn't call that monstrosity out back a grill. I wouldn't even put food on it for my animals. Also, the picnic table should just be brought to the dump and replaced.
- The egg crate mattress pads are terrible.
- There is only 1 extra comforter, so if you are a cold natured person then the thin quilt on the beds won't be enough for you.
- Make sure you bring laundry detergent because whatever little packet they have there was horrible for the load my SIL had to do.
For the most part it is a really good cabin with easy access to all of the tourist attractions. The check in and out process was extremely smooth. My husband and I are TN locals, but my SIL and her family aren't so we did a lot of the tourist things and it was very easily done for everyone.
