About this cabin rental
NEW!! JUST INSTALLED A BRAND NEW ARCADE GAME!! "Higher Expectations" is a beautiful cabin located only 15-20 minutes from downtown Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. We are centrally located directly between these 2 towns.
Our Family enjoys getting away from home and has been visiting our cabins in the mountains for the last 10+ years to relax and unwind. We also love hiking on the many different trails here in the Smokey Mountains. The trails offered waterfalls and incredible views of the mountains.
We believe that you will fully enjoy this cabin. The Theater room is one of the main highlights for families. The property includes three decks to take in the private wooded views as well as the front porch swing to relax and to provide you with a wonderful experience. Our goal is that any guest who stays with us will want to return again.
This cabin is updated on a regular basis. We visit our cabin at least every 3 months to inspect and update as necessary.
Higher Expectations cabin is a great place to enjoy a special weekend or a honeymoon. Also it is perfect for family vacations. There are different seasons here for different experiences including flowers blooming in the spring, summer vacations, the change of leaves in the fall and the winter wonderland views which include skiing.
When you first walk in the cabin, you will view high vaulted ceilings with large picture windows and it is totally all wood inside. The two back decks include outdoor furniture, hot tub, and a charcoal grill to enjoy the great outdoors.
We are fully equipped with WiFi , TV's in each bedroom, Living room and Theater room. The game room features a pool table with bar and Foosball table. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all the amenities. The master bedroom features a Jacuzzi tub and King size bed with memory foam. Many guests have provided reviews of how comfortable this bed is. The property also offers a combo washer/dryer unit. The living room features a fireplace with a gas insert, very cozy. This cabin is furnished with towels, washcloths and all lines. We also provide free long distance phone service. Sleeps up to 2-8 people including a king bed, queen bed and 2 sofa sleepers.
There is so much to do in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas. We have yet to experience all of the many options even after visiting here for over 10 years. You can view all of the many trails that feature awesome water falls and incredible mountain top views. There is also a large Tanger outlet shopping mall, Dollywood, lots of shows and countless restaurants for great food. Activities include zip lining, mountain coaster rides, Ripley's Aquarium, many mini-golf courses, white water rafting, canoeing, fishing, skiing, horseback riding, ATV tours and so much more.

The property was amazing. The property owners made everything so easy from the directions to the property to the keyless entry. The stay was so relaxing. Can't wait to come back. Might even look into moving to the area after retirement! Thank you for making our vacation awesome!

The cabin was great and we saw plenty of wildlife coming and going to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The host was very attentive and a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend the cabin.

We made a last minute decision to start up our summer vacation with a trip to Tennessee, and the cabin did not disappoint!The amenities were perfect for my family. The theater and game room gave us plenty to do on the days we just hung around the cabin, and the porches, hot tub, and surrounding trees allowed for relaxing mornings and evenings without feeling like the neighboring cabins were too close. We also enjoy being able to grill some of our meals which brought an added bonus of a couple bear sightings!The best part was our host, Stan. We appreciated how helpful, responsive, and personable he was. We even enjoyed the pizza place he recommended My one bit of advice is, when accessing the cabin for the first time, do so before dark. The directions aren’t that difficult, but signs are harder to see, the roads are narrow and winding, and navigation will tell you to turn way before you need to. Just follow the emailed directions.

1st need to know is the driveway is very awkward and could be dangerous. Although Stan did check in daily, we had 2 emergency situations and no way of getting a hold of him at night. Our first night there, there was a strong gas smell from the fireplace (was not lit or being used) it became very strong to the point we were concerned with going to sleep. There are CO2 and smoke alarms but it was still very concerning. Our last night we got back around 11pm after a long day of enjoying time out and about and the battery was dead on the door lock which meant we were locked out of the cabin. Again tried calling more than a dozen times over and over with no answer! We were finally able to gimme our way in. Over all the cabin itself was fine, nice gaming area but the decks were dirty. Leaves covering every chair and table which made it unusable until cleaning it ourselves, I understand it’s in the woods with lots of trees but it would seem it had t been swept or wiped down in quite awhile. Having a number for emergencies should be required. Not sure what we would have done if we couldn’t have gotten in. We were there with our 11yr old and 2 (1)older kids. So a total of 6. Beds were fine, pull out beds uncomfortable (as expected) with springs poking out on the downstairs one. Thankfully we brought an air mattress incase the pull out beds were uncomfortable.
