Really quirky place. Loved the bathroom and how original it looked. Easy to check in. Lovely staff.
Very noisy, banging door on the landing. Could do with a ‘soft close’ mechanism.

Its position for us was excellent - we could easily walk to the shopping centers and bus station etc. If we were travelling by train anywhere it would be 100% perfect. Good pub atmosphere. the staff were excellent.
The hotel is what it is - functional but a bit dated (room that is). The room was a little cramped but it was workable. We did not like the need to use the steep and slippery wet rear staircase when leaving the hotel before 12 am each morning - for two 80 year old guests it was challenging especially leaving at 5.30 am in the semi dark when leaving!1 But these should not detract from the overall experience of our stay!

Convenient for the train station
Beds were uncomfortable, shower was cold, windows didn’t open properly, the noise from passing trains kept me up all night
