Locanda Milia Etna

An absolutely magical and fairytale-like place! The atmosphere is incredible — it feels like Christmas, with beautiful lights everywhere and cozy bonfires lit in the evenings where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the moment. Nestled in the forests at the foot of Mount Etna, the surroundings are breathtaking, and the silence and peace make it the perfect place to escape from everyday life. Maria was absolutely wonderful from the very beginning to the very end of our stay. She was warm, kind, helpful, always smiling, and ready to assist with anything we needed. Her hospitality made us feel truly welcome. And the restaurant — simply outstanding! The food was delicious, and the chef himself came to our table to ask if everything was okay. He even treated us to a digestivo, which was such a lovely touch. The entire dining experience was exceptional, and the atmosphere was incredibly cozy and inviting. Everything about this place is special — the magical setting, the peaceful surroundings, the amazing food, and, above all, the wonderful people who make it feel so unique. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and would absolutely love to come back! ❤️

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The setting is beautiful, the accommodation is top class and finished to a very high standard, and every member of staff was so friendly, welcoming and attentive. The food was fantastic, and as one of us is vegetarian, we really appreciated how accommodating they were and the effort they made with vegetarian options. A genuinely lovely experience from start to finish, and somewhere we would happily recommend and return to.

We stayed 2 nights so we could climb Etna 20min drive away This place takes a little more effort to reach but once there you’ll understand why you booked it .. Amazing set up about 10 rooms, friendly staff & very welcoming We ate dinner there both nights and fantastic food.. then sat in front of the fire later with drinks

Nothing it was perfect 🤩

We loved this place so much! Like a fairy dream land in the woods and so close to Mount Etna! We arrived by taxi, and it was easily accessible by car. Once we arrived we were welcomed with early check in and some meats/cheeses and a tour of the wine cellar! Gieseppe and staff were incredible hosts and made us feel very at home! We ate at the restaurant each night and the food is outstanding! They even use fresh ingredients like mushrooms from the property and the breakfast in the morning was delightful! We will be back for sure!

If we would have rented a car to get around that would have been helpful but because we didn’t rent a car we used bikes from Locanda milia and arranged transfers through them which was very easy and reliable!
