Porta Mascarella Apartment by Wonderful Italy

The property is in a great location! Very close to the train station and a short walk to Piazza Maggiore and Quadrilatero, the walking route to the city centre took us through the Jewish Ghetto which is a very nice route.

The property was not clean, there was dust on everything. The kitchen was not properly equipped - there was not much utensils so we could not use to property to the fullest, and all the utensils that were there all needed to be cleaned before use. The vacuum cleaner also did not work so we could not clean to dust. There is no aircon so if you are travelling in summer and want to stay here, you should consider your heat threshold as it can get very hot.

Two-bedroom apartment at the edge of the historic centre of Bologna. 7 min walk to the train station and close to markets and sightseeing. The apartment is spacious with 2 double beds and amenities like a washing machine and dryer. We got the feeling of a home rather than a hosting place.

Unfortunately, the room was ready only at 6 pm (rather than 3 pm) and after several phone calls to the company that handles the property. The level of cleaning was pretty basic and there was a smell of mould, while the photos are not that representative. Additionally, despite the fact that it explicitly was written that the price includes all charges and taxes, we've been asked to pay 40 euros tourist tax (in cash), which was not even written on the contract that we signed on arrival! Overall I think that it is overpriced.
