Smeraldo apartment Grand Canal 1566C

The main attraction of this apartment is undoubtedly its five windows overlooking the Grand Canal. That alone is enough to make you overlook almost everything else. You can sit by the windows for hours watching the constant movement on the canal — it feels as if, instead of you coming to Venice, Venice has come to you. Beyond the view, the location is excellent: about a 15-minute walk from the train station, with shops, cafés and everything you might need nearby. The apartment is spacious, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and a separate kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes and utensils if you plan to cook. The furniture is somewhat dated, but the apartment itself is very clean. Overall, I really enjoyed staying here.

There is one downside to being directly on the Grand Canal: the noise from water traffic. It becomes much quieter at night, but the apartment is located where a smaller canal meets the Grand Canal, and boats often use more engine power while turning. So the spectacular first-line position comes with a little extra noise — for me, the view more than compensated for it.

Location was awesome. We loved that there were lot of things to do just steps away! We loved watching all the boats on the canal!

It was hard to get in to the property. Once we got in there was no problem. However, it did take us about 20 mins to get in! We didn’t really know what to do about the trash! Asked a neighbor and she told us what to do.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We liked everything. Great vibes . Best Location. Amazing water view , clean , professional work ;)

Location and views are everything. Plenty of equipment in kitchen. Host did help with local information about airport transfer by boat. He made suggestions about where to eat. Suggest this is left as a welcome pack including instructions about hob, TV, etc.

The doors are coming off the shower cubicle in bathroom opposite the kitchen so the floor became covered with water. Loose trim kept catching my ankle. The cubicle is very small and grubby. Plaster coming off wall in ensuite bathroom and cubicle doors did not close very well. No instructions for using hob - we tried to use it but could not make the gas stay on so my partner had to hold down the knob while food cooked. I have a gas hob at home so know how they work. No instructions for TV. Dishwasher had food from previous occupants in well. No front to dishwasher.
