Summit Sanctuary

An enclosed garage was a plus, as was the hot tub, although the balcony where the hot tub was located was mostly buried in 4+ feet of snow. The tub itself was accessible. The kitchen was well furnished, and there was ample seating in the dining space. The fireplace in the living room was a plus, except that it didn't work the first night. It was repaired the next day. The storage for ski boots and clothes was handy and helpful. The upstairs TV was useful; the lower one was marginal.

The condo was okay and spacious. There were several deficits, that were all handled in different ways. There was mention of a grill--it must have been buried on the balcony. Cleanliness was an issue: food in the couch cushions and around room and furniture perimeters; there was hair in one bathroom. The beds were not the most comfortable, though they were plentiful. The downstairs bedroom has no privacy except a curtain, and noise from the main floor was a disturbance. The lower level TV worked to some degree but the remotes were in pieces and batteries were not installed, so none of the game deck worked. There were insufficient towels; Vacasa had additional towels delivered the second day, they were not great quality. The biggest problem was the oven in the kitchen, which was never repaired or addressed: when turned on to bake dinner, flames shot out from the lower element. A phone call was entirely unhelpful. We used the broiler element and covered the casserole with a cookie sheet in order to bake dinner--not the the meal we had planned. Vacasa needs a much better property manager in the area.
