Warm hosts, great location near lots of walk routs and Chatsworth, comfortable room with everything you need, self-serve check-in, good selection of snacks and drinks, and the cosy sheep themed room is soooooo cute.

Perfect location in a beautiful, quiet village in the heart of the Peak District. Village shop, and 3 pubs all within 10 mins walk. Miles of beautiful walks in the Peak District straight from the front door.

Please note, this is a room only and not s bed & breakfast. The hosts do leave you food to make your own breakfast and teas, coffees biscuits are available.

The location was fairly easy to find. Short walking distance from a great pub with excellent food. Furnishings were fine. Parking was on street and not great, but not a showstopper. A simple breakfast basket was provided, along with other snacks. I wish we could have spent longer, but we were a late arrival and a relatively early departure, with little time to explore, but the surrounding walks look fantastic. We did take a quick drive around the following day, including a trip up to Monsal Head and the wonderful views from there. The hosts were quick to respond to queries. We enjoyed our brief stay.

Not a complaint, but the bed was not great for tall or wide people. Also, the path leading to the property was too narrow for a wheelchair. Fortunately my wife has some mobility so it wasn't a problem. Again, not a complaint.

Absolutely spotless. Loved the sheep theme! Basket of little treats was a nice touch. Comfortable bed and good shower. The location was perfect, with a very good pub just round the corner serving excellent food. Lisa was a wonderful host. We wanted to stay an extra night and she sorted out alternative accommodation a few doors away for us. Thank you Lisa!
