Very enjoyable

The property was a comfortable holiday home - no frills - but all we needed. Lots of tourist literature, and books on the local area. Very easy street parking. We were there a week so were pleased the property had a washing machine. Excellent location.

Some noise from upstairs, not a problem, just sound of the residents walking about. The weather had turned cold so instruction on using the heaters would have been useful.

Overall, very good.

Great location and nice host. Some communication challenges as the owner doesn't speak English but this was absolutely not a problem as she is lovely, very welcoming and responded to messages very quickly and clearly. House was modern and fairly clean. Kitchen was very well equipped.

The bed was very uncomfortable - we really didn't sleep very well. The sofa was also quite uncomfortable. While it states that sheets and pillows cost extra in the Booking.com description, it isn't immediately obvious and asking €30 for sheets and towels seems excessive and something that I have never come across in other gites. Having said this the location and other facilities make up for other inconveniences.

Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der Wohnung, die sich im EG eines älteren Hauses befindet sehr genossen. Das Haus befindet sich in einer wunderschönen kleinen, ruhigen Sackgasse mitten im Zentrum von St. Vaast-la-Hougue - alles was man so braucht ist zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Wohnung selbst ist liebevoll und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Alle Küchengeräte funktionieren, die Heizung war warm. Es liegen zahlriche Informationen und Bücher zur Umgebung bereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Anfang Juni gab es keine Parkplatzprobleme. Am Hafen und sogar in den engen Seitenstraßen gab es immer Platz.

Bien mais pourrait faire mieux.

Situation idéale dans le coeur de Saint Vaast, proche des commerces et du port sans les nuisances de la rue car situé au fond d'une cour.

La location est présentée comme "Maison à louer" mais il s'agit d'un rez-de-chaussée. C'est toutefois précisé en toute fin de description. Le bruit des pas de l'occupant de l'étage y résonne bien :-/ Au niveau du confort, dans la chambre le matelas devrait être remplacé; dans le salon, le fauteuil, très joli, a connu des jours meilleurs. Le canapé quant à lui est inconfortable.
