Modern, fun and slightly funky hotel. Adjoins Golden Tulip Hotel and you can access the very nice bar and restaurant there thru a hallway. Parking is behind the hotel at E19 a night. Bathroom open and shower isn’t private.
No Receptionist around for check out. Hotel wouldn’t honour parking price I was quoted when I booked.

We loved the location, the nice view, and the cozy design of the room. The self check it went smoothly. The hotel has a variety of snacks, drinks and essential items you might need for your trip, available anytime, on the ground floor, which gives peace of mind. The room was quiet, even if it's across the station, it has a good sound insulation. The bed was comfortable. And they have mini night tables with wireless charging. The air conditioning in the room went well, we could turn it off or adjust when needed, and we could also open the window. The shower we liked a lot, together with the high quality toiletries. Overall an amazing experience.
If there is one thing that can be improved, a bit more attention to the cleanliness in the toilet.

Clean and had air conditioning which was perfect (stayed there during a heatwave)
Bike storage, which we required, was at another hotel.

Location is still perfect and it offers basic facilities. Good tv system, coffee & tea in the room, hair dryer, fridge, locker.
For a longer stay than 24 hours, 1 coffee pp is quite frugal. And the tea is undrinkable.
The plumbing doesn't work properly: after showering longer than 2 minutes, the whole room floods. Which you only notice afterwards, if you doen't wear glasses while showering. Housekeeping never responded, so we spent 36 hours with the carpet hanging to dry on the only chair.

The location was ok.
I payed too much for a room that was not very clean: very dusty with dirty stains on the floor and hairs. The info where to park it was not clear. I had to go to the other hotel to ask the parking place because no staff was available at the hotel.

Close to station
Very busy road and area and very noisy

This was my second stay at this property and I would go back again. Very large, cheerful and comfortable room. I love the big shower and having the coffee machine in the room.

Breakfeast at the sister hotel was very good, wide varity of food and aways refilled when empty.
The rooms at the front (street side at the crossing) are a bit loud. We stayed for 7 nights and were able to switch to the back, which was much quiter.

Rally different and nice. Self check in good however would have been nice to also be able to chat with someone .
Catering could be improved. I know there was a snack bar but the options were not great especially for those arriving late to check in.
We had breakfast at the hotel next door which I think is also managed by the same management as VIC

This is an excellently situated hotel if you are visiting for a short time. It is within five minutes walk of the station, and then it's only a short walk to the centre of Leiden.
The hotel was a bit soulless, self check in etc.

Good staff very easy. Nice hotel.
The ceiling in the bedroom was just painted concrete. Very strange as the rest of the room was finished to a very high standard. Weird it was almost unfinished.

Awesome location, very practically arranged room with all necessities, super functional, polite and helpful staff. I also appreciated the snack bar in the lobby with the shop to get things that we might forget like cables or an umbrella, really usefully stocked.
The duvet was way too warm in comparison to the climate we had and the interior temperature. I think it would be good to use it in January or so, but for September it was too much. The last two nights we turned on the AC, but it shouldn’t have been necessary if there was an extra, thin blanket or something similar.

Nice location near the station. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean.
The automatic check-in is idiotic. We arrived early, typed all our info into the machine, then found that we couldn't check in until 3 PM. We went looking for a staff member and who was able to check us in early.
It's too noisy to sleep with the window open in a street-facing room.

The location of the hotel was really accessible! The proximity to the train station and the wider city was a really easy walk at no more than ten minutes away. The rooms were comfortable and had all the amenities.
I thought the layout of the room was slightly awkward. The sink being separate from the toilet and a mirror in front of the shower was a little odd.

no brekkie for us, we ate in town

It’s location, the room was clean and comfortable
No breakfast and no bar and there was hardly ever any staff around.

Quite centrally located near the station
Somewhat silly checkin procedure - you need to do this yourself, on a clumsy touchscreen (in an app where the booking number window is too small for the four digits needed, etc.) while someone from the hotel stands at a desk and watches you. Loud, at a crossrad where there is also traffic at night, use earplugs or close the window. Room and hotel in a "we are all creative" style which is a matter of taste (but is ok).

The lobby was the most convenient part since I needed to work. Also the mini snack area was handy. Location was great
The room was not quiet enough. The beds were two tiny beds put together instead of a double bed

Firstly, location is great - very close to the train station yet at some distance so there's no noise or crowds. Close to the centre too. The late check-in was smooth (someone came out to greet us), though in regular hours it's automated. There's a minimarket in the hotel with all necessities, useful if you crave a late night snack or drink. Genrally hotel was quiet and comfortable, rooms had necessities like nespresso machine and cleaning staff refilled the cartridges. Room had decent and easily controllable air conditioning.
The room quirkiness was uncomfortable - transparent shower door is OK-ish (shower and toilet are separate), though there was no hangers for the towels. But the only sink and a mirror located right in the room deprives of any privacy in daily rituals, which I find not crucial but quite annoying.

Coffee shop inside the hotel to have food any time of the day. Perfectly silent, no noises. Comfortable beds. Excellent position, I suggest it!

Bed was so comfy, nice view from my room, quiet and colourful. Great location too.
I wasn't expecting the self-service check-in and grab-and-go breakfast, perhaps I didn't read the detail properly in advance, but it was actually fine and quite efficient.
The till at the grab and go station didn't provide receipts which was annoying as I was travelling for work and needed to keep receipts. I left my luggage at reception when I checked out but when I returned to pick it up there was no one at reception and I had to walk to the hotel next door to get them to call the reception staff so I could get my luggage.

The bed was really cosy, the shower good and spacious and the staff was very nice
The view to the parking lot

Sleek modern clean. Perfectly located near the train station and only a 10 min walk from old town.
Nothing really. Just the self check in is a bit cold and impersonal. Plus in my case it didn’t work and being late at night and the staff not 100% helpful, it took quite some extra time to get my key.
