Idyllic setting. We stayed in the Shepherd’s Hut, which was cozy and comfortable. It has a lovely quirky interior with very clever use of space and nice outdoor seating, perfect for breakfast. The location is green and well tended, and the lake very pretty.

The 2 single chairs were nice but little form I've function? A sofa maybe better suited. But also the double while very clean and well turned down was not very comfy and incredibly noisy ever time you move in bed

Spent one night as part of a short break in the area. Was a very different site with camping and caravan facilities but we booked the excellent cottage with it's own huge bathroom and really comfortable bedroom. Set in lovely grounds, there's plenty of space for parking. The hosts are super friendly and go above and beyond to make the stay exceptional. It's also really easy to find.
If you want hotel chain standards this is not for you. For a stay in the area it's perfect, quiet, a little quirky but really comfortable.
