About this house rental
Our home was originally built in 1905 by the somewhat notorious cigar manufacturer Leon S. Boucher. The Flor De Leon was a popular brand of cigars that L.S. Boucher manufactured and sold here in downtown Joplin.
My wife and I have lovingly renovated our home over the past year by combining its original historic charm with our own modern/eclectic style. We are particularly proud of the kitchen, bathrooms, and sunroom!
We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do!
Guest Access:
The first floor consists of a kitchen, dining room, living room, powder room, and sunroom. A laundry room is also available for use in the basement
The second floor is the main sleeping area which consists of four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms on this floor have desk space.
The third floor is the master suite. A great place to unwind after a long day of traveling! We especially love the skylight above the bathtub!
**The fireplace is not for use**
House Rules:
We know rules are no fun! In order to keep peace with our neighbours and remain operational we ask you to please read and be aware of these House Rules before arrival. Failure to follow these House Rules will result in the following:
-🍄Please make sure you enter the correct number of guests for your stay. UNAPPROVED guests visiting the house without proper communication will be added to your guest list and result in an additional $20/day/person for your reservation.
-🍄NO HOUSE PARTIES, EVENTS OR GATHERINGS, we have had a property shut down because of a party and so that is why we do take this seriously. Any sign of these could result in eviction without refund and additional cleaning fees.
-🍄Unapproved LATE CHECK-OUT will result in an additional $25 every 15 minutes after check-out time.
-🍄NO PETS, any guest found to have had a pet indoors will be asked to leave without refund and charged an additional $200/day + any additional cost for extra cleaning
-🍄Lost TV remote control will result in a $50 charge.
-🍄Smoking/Vaping of any kind inside the house is prohibited and will result in an immediate eviction without refund and an automatic $250 charge + any cost to deodorize the house.
-🍄Tampering with or breaking any of the electronics, furniture, or appliances (including; but not limited to, moving furniture from their assigned rooms) could result in additional charges.
-🍄 QUIET HOURS: 10pm-9am no loud music or loud activities inside or outside the house. (This is to comply with Joplin City Ordinance and so the house is equipped with noise monitoring devices. These devices do not record sound, they only measure volume decimals set to a ‘house party’ threshold). Guests who trigger the high volume threshold for over 10 minutes after quiet hours will receive an automated warning from the system asking to please quiet down. Continued violation could result in being asked to leave the property.

We absolutely loved this house. The the kids, my wife and i didnt want to leave. The Flor de leon was so comfortable, inviting and had everything we needed plus some for our spring break. Joplin is a cool town with way more to do than people realize. We take a spring break vacation to a different state and house every year and this one is in the top 2 of our favorites and want to return too.. thank you for your hospitality and home for the week!

This is a beautiful home in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. The home is decorated nicely and was very comfortable for our short stay. With 5 bedrooms it was perfect for our extended family that was traveling together. Would definitely choose this property again.

The house is absolutely huge an older home but it is very well taken care of with everything you would possibly need .
