About this house rental
We bought the family home from our grandparents. It is the former presbytery of the charming village of Sainte-Alvère.
We want to keep the atmosphere of the house, as we have always known it: JOYFUL, FAMILY-ORIENTED, WELCOMING, SIMPLE and AUTHENTIC. The pool and bedding are new. The kitchen is redone in the taste of the house. The walls, tapestries and bathrooms retain their old-fashioned charms.
Outside: large garden (1,500m²), beautiful swimming pool (4 x11 meters) secure, trampoline, barbecue, possibility to eat under the wisteria
The 250m² house is divided into 3 floors:
• On the first floor: living room (with its library), dining room, WC, kitchen and laundry room
• ON THE 1st FLOOR: 5 Bedrooms + 2 bathrooms (one with bath) + 1 WC
- Bedroom 1:18 m², 2 adults, double bed
- Bedroom 2:18 m², 2 adults, double bed
- Bedroom 3:10 m², 3 children (small room) with 1 bunk bed + 1 single bed
- Bedroom 4:16 m², 3 adults (or children) 1 double bed (or 2 singles) + 1 single bed
- Bedroom 5: 10m², 2 adults, 1 double bed (or 2 singles)
In all, 9 adults maximum and 3 children.
1 toddler bed, 1 travel cot and 1 high chair are at your disposal.
• IN THE ATTIC: attic playroom area, suitable for putting on shows!
THE + OF THE HOUSE: tennis, petanque, pumptrack and football court in the village, cool house in summer, Nintendo Wii and TV for rainy evenings in winter.
The village of Sainte-Alvère: you will fall in love with this typical and dynamic village of the Périgord. Two restaurants, two bakeries, a grocery store, a bar-tobacconist, a tennis court, a petanque court, market every Monday (in winter the truffle market is recognized), a library, departures for many hikes. YOU CAN DO EVERYTHING ON FOOT FROM THE HOUSE.
In the heart of the Périgord, you are at most 3/4 of an hour from the major tourist sites: Lascaux, the gardens of Marqueyssac, Beynac, Castelnaud, Les Eyzies, Sarlat, Perigueux, Limeuil, Le Bugues... 1/4 hour from an equestrian center, a golf course, canoe rentals, amusement parks for children.
You will quickly feel at home!

We are just on our way home from a really special week in the Presbytere. I think I can speak for everyone in the group that this property and location really exceeded our expectations. The house is really spacious and charming. There is plenty of space to gather as a group but also lots of secluded spaces in the beautiful and large garden and house to read and relax on your own. Gregoire and Helen were lovely and considerate. The village is also charming. Local shops and restaurants, tennis and lots to keep you occupied. We would certainly come back again.
